It is hard to bear to have your Son murdered by Racists. Anybody that has been through that has my sympathy. But to accuse firefighters of being racist is an appalling thing to say.

What has trump got against dogs? Having said that Bag Daddy "Died like a dawg" he now says that Beto O'Rourke has "quit like a dawg". Dogs don't quit, and usually they die peacefully with their owners at the vet.

One of the most heart wrenching decisions ever to take your best mate to the Vets and being asked your permission to have him put down..

(re-posted from the Lyle Taylor thread)

Our democracy is evolving, from a long established 2 party system (with Labour replacing the Whigs a century ago) to a multi-party assembly, where coalitions and alliances will become the norm.

This is why I would really like to see a brand new Circular Parliament chamber here, in the style of many other modern democracies. The current bipolar format of the House of Commons does not serve the nation well, except as a living museum piece.
And we also need a second elected chamber, based on proportional representation.

We should not be afraid to embrace modern democracy, and look to the future.
We have clearly seen over the past three years that our Westminster Parliament, both in its architecture and in its creaking, 18th century habits, is no longer fit for purpose.

Jo Swinson should do what Mrs Thatcher did: take elocution lessons, to become less shrill.

    So farewell then
    John Bercow. Never
    Was a Conservative MP more
    Loathed by
    His own party. Something which
    Must impress your
    Wife.

She could also marry a sozzled old fart who inherited a load of shares, so could be described to the extremely credulous as a successful businessman.

Another reason why David Cameron was an abject failure.

Affordable homes, especially in London, is a huge issue.
Why should anybody believe what the Conservatives are promising this time around when it comes to housing.

The failure to build new homes was probably New Labour's biggest failure.

A bigger failure than to take us into a fake war?

I would call that the biggest mistake rather than failure over 13 years.

It seems to be something neither side can fix. The Tories comitted to building 200,000 new homes for young (under 40) first time buyers, with a 20% discount to help get them on the ladder, but have not built one yet according to news today.

    I quite fancy Jo Swinson.

    Her politics are repugnant, though.
