That was quite a quaint phrase they used but it sort of made sense if you put your head on one side and closed one eye.

Trouble is that it can go either way.

It lasts for a year with option to extend until Dec 2022 whist we negotiate Free Trade deal (and most likely would be extended beyond that) or we could leave on basically no deal terms from a year onwards.

In terms of USA trade deal Trump doesn't really get to dictate terms - it will take a couple of years at least to negotiate so he may or may not be in power and congress has to ratify which is why could never do a no deal that shafts Ireland.

A couple of things that are definite is that there is no way Brexit is done if this deal passes (it's the end of the beginning) and that there would be a border across the Irish sea.

Still think there's a fair chance this could happen and then it would be 2nd ref but always thought we couldn't get to 2nd ref until tried every other option and then the politicians can turn round and say to the public ok you got us in this mess now it's time for you to get us out of it. (though not using those terms I imagine)

Sounds like an admission that only a fool would repeat what you say. Which is true if they were endorsing it as opposed to ridiculing it.

It was interesting listening to Farage this morning. He seems to tap into the pulse of the nation but I'm not sure he has this time.
I think everyone wants this finished and Boris has a way out. It isn't ideal but it is a deal so I think he's going to lose some of his support if he keeps pushing for a WTO exit.

    If you want this over then vote in this order;
    Lib-Dem
    Labour
    Brexit Party
    Tories

This deal would be the end of the beginning and definitely not the end. Tories saying that this election is about getting brexit done is the equivalent of in 2015 when Cameron said it was about stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband and will age as badly.

Think that should read "if you want to remain vote in this order"

See the lovely Rees Mogg thinks people died in Grenfell because they didn’t have common sense. He would have ignored the fire brigade advice apparently, because he obviously has common sense. Not that the silver spooned Cnut would ever have been there in the first place.

Only because remaining would get this over quicker than exiting (and I wouldn't advocate actually voting Lib-Dem unless tactically) but even Farage's policy would be quicker at getting it over than Boris'.

Keir Starmer on the BBC this morning saying Labour would have a second referendum with, leave with their new deal, or remain as the only choices. So what the country voted for in the first referendum would not even be a choice under labour. Democracy at it's best under labour.

Why would it not be a choice?

The country didn't vote to leave without a deal in the first vote, just to leave - that would still be an option with Labour.

There would be both a leave and remain option.

They voted to leave and not remain, so remain should be removed from any future vote. It was voted off the table first time round.

Pity you didn't listen to the whole broadcast, you might have understood what was said. And yes he has now apologised, but that has more to do with a political decision than what was said in the interview.
