was it Ascot that the Henderson horse cocked his head and ended up over the stands rail? White silks back a couple of years ago?
Fascinating renewal of the big chase at Down Royal with 2 serious Gold Cup players meeting very early in the season. I can't call it so just sit back and watch and hope they all come back safe
Oh well, Kenzai Warrior did the business, albeit a week later and at a different track. I thought he was going to throw it away, as he seemed to duck in behind the leader to challenge on the other side but he kept on strongly to get up. Quite why San Pedro was the price he was mystified me. A maiden winner with three runs of 61, 71 and 88 on RPR's he looked rank value in a Group 3 race. Ropey Guest has placed yet again in good company and has to be a contender for the best maiden in training, winless after 10 starts but rated 99 on official figures. Decent win from Kenzai Warrior and he is probably treading similar waters to old rival Max Vega in the low 100's on ratings now. Happy days.
Great performance Road To Respect - wow Delta Work missed a few and Clan Des Obeaux should come on for that but take nothing away from the winner - won with real authority.
So DdC keeps the race but Capeland gets disqualified...?? One 'jumped' the fence the other didnt...?? #scratchingmyhead #clearasmud #bollox
What a load of bollocks from the stewards at ascot. Surely the winner interfered with the other horse jumping the fence.
Some price 14s on Kenzai Warrior Grendel, I looked at the race today and he had the best form in the race despite it only being a maiden, Tomfre a handicap winner off 90 backed for a G3, went big at 7/1. Very weak G3. Class from Road To Respect, fancied Clan Des Obeaux but always liked Road To Respect, done me a few turns especially the Lexus a few years ago and backed him for Gold Cups, class on his day.
