Not to watch, but the sport you were best at, even if not that good at it, just your best sport.

Anyone done anything to a decent standard, even semi pro?

Lots on here seem to like a few sports, so anyone even half decent in any?

The golf lads seem to do ok, so wonder if that's their best sport?

Regret not continuing with rugby when I was young. Played at county level.

I used to represent the county in athletics as well. Though was never fast enough to have done it properly which is what made me good at rugby. No **** could catch me.

Football and Cricket. I might have made it in football if not for my mental health. I played cricket at a decent level too but football is and always was my true love.

you not tried golf? Always find that people good at football and cricket always seem to be able to play golf well.

Yeah. I struggled with my swing. I kept driving it like I was playing a cricket shot and couldn't get out of that habit.

depends if you enjoyed it. Both football and cricket have skills useful in golf as you get good band to eye coordination and weight transfer. If you liked it you should have lessons. Be good for your mental health too as it’s good having a nice stomp round a course with your mates.

Yeah, there's no doubt that getting out on the course for four hours is good for the soul and mind. Can **** your head up in other ways if you take it too seriously mind!

I'm a happier bloke in general if I play at the weekend though.

Was very good at cricket and swimming. Especially breast stroke.

Wasn't down for the 5am swims every morning to reach that next level though. Fook that.

Swimming - I swam for London Schools. Actually spent more time at the chiropodist getting yet another ****ing verrouca dealt with.

Rugby - It was that or nothing when I got packed off to grammar school. No footie. Slowly got into it and really enjoyed it. Played when I could for 20+ yrs, my work had to come first.

Swimming was my main sport. Used to swim for my school and then my borough in London. Got loads of medals and trophies for swimming. I still swim regularly now, and I'm grateful for being a strong swimmer when I've been in rough seas.

Was decent at football without being brilliant. I played in a really good team though. My School team were one of the best in London at the time. Some of the lads in our team when on to play for Millwall, Orient, Charlton at academy level.

Was pretty good at Athletics too. 100m, 110m hurdles and long jump. But never really pursued it any further after school.

Surfing is my 'sport' now. I've competed in a few contests and even got featured in a surf mag once. But it's really just a hobby and a way to enjoy the outdoors whilst keeping fit for me.

I was never competitive enough to be really good at a sport.

I always try hard at stuff but have little/no interest in being better than others...just want to be the best I can at everything I do.

I think a competitive edge is really important to be really good at a sport whereas you can be great at your job and as a person without it.

I went on the driving range. It was Burly who talked me into it tbh. I remember getting blisters on my hand as well, is that normal?

It's something I should think about taking up because I need to get out more and I'm getting too old to compete competitively in football, now.

If you go the range and biff a load of balls wear the glove, that essentially what it's for.

    Won't get blisters then.

If you’re not holding the club properly yes. Go pay for a lesson or two.

Generally good at all ball games but golf eluded me. The upsides of that was having enjoyable country walks without looking for a white ball and spending green fees on beer.
