He has been immense tonight, whereas Massengo has been appalling, yet another injury as well, this time to Brownhill. We have nothing in midfield now with him gone, it’s just long ball straight over the midfield. But we are 1 up, and currently in 2nd place - end the season now!!
Zero creativity for the vast majority of this game, we will get pegged back here if we keep launching long balls, as they are coming back at us immediately. Why is Watkins still on?
Funny how we see things differently, thought Watkins had a good game, obviously tiring badly , but did well for the first hour. Worried about midfield , not one of massengos best games and Brownhill injured , hope it’s not too bad.
What I can’t figure out is how Nagy was allowed to join the Hungary squad for the international break, yet isn’t fit enough for our bench again today? This ref has been pi$$ poor as well, what a horrific challenge on Massengo.
To be fair we were awful and we didn’t deserve a point. This was the worst performance I have seen from us for a while. If it wasn’t for Bentley we would have been hammered tonight.
We were poor , but 2-0 up we should have seen it out. I still don’t understand why Baker came on for Taylor Moore unless Moore was struggling after his knock on Sunday.
Thank Bentley for the point as he made 2 world class saves tonight and he had not been there I think we would have lost. Not good enough particularly when you 2-0 up with 15 minutes left. Our usual lapses let us down and we have to get better.
MOTM Bentley - what a keeper. I would have taken a point away from home before kickoff, but to throw away a 2 goal lead is hard to swallow.
Our midfield was non existent, did not win, hold or use the ball, no bight in the tackle, movement or ability to find a teammate, O’Dowda was awful, Massengo not much better,
