Probably not a popular opinion at all but I'm really starting to like Chelsea. This young English spine is great to see. Abraham should be starting for England based on his recent performances and I don't think it'll be long before Hudson-Odoi is a household name across Europe like Jaden Sancho. Lampard is getting the best out of Jorginho (who is criminally underrated) and Kovacic as well. He's doing a cracking job there which no one expected.
Agreed. They all seem to have bought into it and are playing as a team first and foremost. I didn’t think Abraham would do this in the pl, a good pal is a Villa fan and was convinced he’d make the step up np. Be interesting to see what he does when he can buy some players. Poor decision wasn't it, you can't card people according to how bad the resulting injury is you have to do it based on how bad the foul was. He was all ready to give a yellow before he realised Gomes was crocked.
He did actually book him. Then he went and looked at the injury and got the red out. Sorry but you can't dish out red cards because of an unfortunate injury like that. Son didn't even cause it!
No it's a horrible shame for Gomes but giving out red cards isn't going to make it right. Weak refereeing, like when you can tell they're not going to book someone but the crowd goes mental and they get the card out. I don't think Son would have wanted to continue anyway he was distraught but it's not the point.
