Can you imagine @Clb74 reporting from New York in Sept 2001...

The latest episode of the Met last night focused on the uplifting and glorious gang wars in Tottenham & Wood Green. We saw future sound engineers and NHS workers being stabbed to death in the street, or shot in the head in the local cinema.

One grieving African mother - her son had just been stabbed 14 times and died - commented on her boy’s lovely warm smile and willingness to help anyone in the community.

The narrator spoiled it somewhat by saying that he had also just served a lengthy prison sentence for gang related violence.

No doubt he was just about to turn his life around, volunteer at the local church, and train to become a brain surgeon.

I watched it. Zion Lights was a hopeless choice, didn't know her facts at all. Andrew Neil is always worth a watch, but if he had wanted to shed some lights on global warming he would have interviewed a climatologist, or David Attenborough for instance. More recent reports point to global warming happening faster than predicted unfortunately, and if as you say the myths have been utterly destroyed then the donald will have been proved right, it's all a hoax. Personally I'm angry that environmental concerns have been hijacked by a small number of well-meaning zealots. Whenever people get carried away with their own idealism they think they can do whatever they want, and you can apply that to many differing sections.

Momentum, Islamist extremists, Corbyn Thatcher, Blair, The IRA, the Far Right. Maybe even Douchatelet. You get tunnel vision, and can't see the side effects of your actions because of your glorious vision.

I like Top of the Pops on BBC4 - Thursady & Friday evenings (sometimes) :emoticon-0169-dance

They are going through 1988 at the moment.
It's been on the slide since about 1985 but you still get the occasional decent tune.

I wish Channel 4 would re-run whole episodes of The Tube with Jools & Paula.
All we've ever had is a couple of 'best of' programmes years ago.

just been watching his Wild City’s programme from 2014. Great stuff.

The episode features wild animals who live alongside humans in the capital city.

It’s not unlike London in 2019.

Another culturally enriching episode of the Met last night :emoticon-0148-yes:

A violent mass stabbing in Peckham - all of the culprits were illegal Bolivians & Colombians who didn’t speak a word of English <applause>

Jeremy Corbyn would give this vermin a home & benefits.

Another terrific Attenborough episode tonight. Further evidence that the human race is incredibly clever and incredibly stupid.
