Opinions about Brady? I guess we will extend the loan in January, but what are our chances of eventually signing him on a permanent deal? And is he worth it? I've more or less only see him during the pre season games and Crystal Palace+Highlights on Tiger Player, so it's hard too say for me. Obviously got some skills, kinda "ball-horny" (direct translation from Swedish), but makes stuff happen. So, is he worth it and what are our chances in that case?
Depends on Fergie again I reckon. He's already given us a couple of very good players who could play in the Premier League one day, but won't be good enough for Man Utd. It's just a question of how much potential they believe Brady has. He's excellent on the ball, looks extremely promising, I'd love us to sign him on a permanent but at the moment I can't see us getting much more than an extended loan. Not quite mature enough for me just yet, bit ball-greedy, tries to do too much but the potential is definitely there.
He's not the finished article yet, won't get into Man U in all probability, so I'd say a loan extension should be on the cards. Love to see him reach his potential at City..
Obviously not the finished article, he has all the skills, pace and shots, just needs to know when and how to use them. He seems to be getting pretty good guidance from Rosie and NP, and is improving in terms of his team play week on week. I wouldn't describe him as greedy, just at times inexperienced and over-eager. I often hear NP telling him where he should be, such as pushing into the box more, moving further infield etc... I do wish that we would get the ball out to him a bit more though. He is often in a lot of space, and imagine what a quality Man Utd midfielder could do for him? I suppose it is all a matter of perspective though. I would love him to stay with us, but I would also love him to go on and be a great player at the top level. As long as he is eager to learn, he will go a long way.
Our only creative player??? Is Koren not supposed to be a creative player? As for Brady, he is a WIP. He does some great things but he is inexperienced and doesn't always do the right things at the right time. That being said he has HUGE potential and it all depends on what SAF thinks of him. I know Corry Evans was very well thought of and we managed to pull that one off, maybe there's a chance with Brady. If there is, I'd take him without a second thought, but in that situation it may develop as with Ayala.
Zayatte was a very creative player making incredible cart-wheels and astonishing deflections into the goal..
I have no problem with any player having a go and being a little greedy, if it means they make the opposition keeper work and the ball ends up in the net. He's just what we need. A lad that'll run at the defenders and who has a cracking shot on them. And soon we could have two on both wings. Fingers crossed it'll work out for us.
If he learnt to vary his play a little bit he would be one hell of a player. Its great being close to Nigel listening to what he is saying as he clearly highly rates the boy and is always telling him to do stuff, but he never has a go at him for shooting or getting the ball in the box, he will eventually be a PL player IMO no doubt about it, its just whether he is a Man Utd player or not.
He's nowhere near good enough to play for Man Utd, he'd need to improve massively to push to replace Nani, Valencia or Young, with Man Utd youth prospects, the ones who are coming through are ones who Fergie sent on loan to Premier League clubs, I think he makes a decision early on with regards to a player's potential and when they have a chance to make it in the Man Utd team sends them on loan to a Prem team, those who he knows won't make it go the the NPC or lower. With this in mind I think we'd have a good chance of picking him up from Man Utd, our only competition will be lower end Prem teams who may sneak in, like Norwich with Ayala, and beat us to him.
Of course he's nowhere near good enough to play for Man Utd yet otherwise he wouldn't be playing for us he'd be in the Premiership with someone like Sunderland but he is only 19 and this is his 1st season of playing competitive football. I imagine we'll get him for the season but no chance of a permanent deal.
I think we should sign Waghorn on a permanent deal in January and approach Leicester NOW to put a deal in place ready to sign. As for Brady, this lad clearly has a bright future ahead of him but I feel the most important thing he needs right now is a GOOD Manager that can educate him on how to better his game. He really needs one to one coaching if we are to see the best out of him in the short and long term. Like many others say, he often tries to do a bit too much or makes the wrong decision at times, whether to cut inside, shoot or pass which should come good in time if he is brought on correctly by the Manager and coaching staff. He is crying out for somebody to take him under their wing, whether that be NP or somebody like Nick Barmby an older pro.
Are you saying NP is a BAD manager? You insinuated that he ASPIRED to win 1-0 on another thread. When we finally won at home you told everyone to calm down about four times. Maybe you should just come clean and make it clear that you don't like NP whether he has us winning or not. Who knows, if you're honest about it you could become the new Percy.
Hey steady on my old matey boy Craig-ee. Dont jump to conclusions. I wont make no secret of the fact I doubted NP's team selections at times at the start of the season, playing 1 up top against a Palace side that had'nt won an away game in months which proved to be a big mistake by NP. Over the last few games how could anybody not be chuffed with the wins and our league position even if we are still only managing to score 1 goal per game. Just for the record, NP is slowly winning me over but my feet are still firmly on the ground and not going to get too carried away, quick defeats or victories would have a massivley different outlook on our position in the table, 2 wins could take us to practically top of the league whilst two defeats could see us down the bottom. Which thread did I tell people to calm down 4 times by the way? Thought you were not like SOME of the others, who like to jump on band wagons, thought you were your own person, be strong and dont fall out over you reading too much into one mis-interpreted word (GOOD)
4 times on the same thread? Still cant help yourself can you !!! Very sad and very childish. What have done now Strovoloas? You trying to turn it into another bashing thread? Who involved you?
@ THETIGERSHULL I'm not falling out. I just like to have an idea where people stand. To answer your question I read your 'calm down' comment on about four separate threads after we beat Reading and responded directly to you on one. You're right I don't jump on bandwagons but I try to be consistant and not change my view of the manager or players after every game. Sorry if my reaction was a bit abrupt, but I get the feeling from some of your posts that (like quite a few others on here) you have the knife out ready for NP.
Not at all Craig. Trust me I want NP to show to me he is the right man to take us back to the promised land within the next 2-3 seasons. All i want is the same as ALL City fans should and that is to be as successful as we can at the same time, hopefully play some exciting, inspiring, entertaining football and show we are not afraid, especially at home. I think NP has started to realise some of his errors, signing Harper, playing one up front at home, been prepared to drop Fryatt to the bench, all these things has made NP go up in my own estimations of him. I respect him for making these bold decisions to the benefit of the team. I still dislike the way he does not seem to want to give any OLD City players a place in the squad, Barmby and Dawson apart.
