After feeling thoroughly let down following that defeat by the Jacks and generally picking up on BfB's pessimism, I can't believe that today I have only gone and bought a ticket for Charlton away. I am sure there must be something better to do. Any suggestions Masky............?

Good on you BT. Did you ask me? I can't remember.

Is the Tenko Camp Commandant going with you? If he's driving you will have to leave on the Friday night. #banzaiahsoslow

Last went to the Valley about 1970. Took as long to get there from Paddington as it took to get to Paddington from Newport. And all for a miserable defeat. 2.0 I think.

Just checked. It was 21st November 1970. 2.1 to them. Woodruff scored to give us false hope. Only a 2 day difference in the date compared to this season.

Were you there BT? I travelled with a group of City fans from Cwmbran. The only name I can remember is Soapy. Not his real name and I don't know why Soapy. He is also memorable as he got stabbed just above his knee in a ruck with QPR fans at Paddington 2 weeks or so earlier.

We won that one 1.0 with a Leighton Phillips 25 yard volley. Might have been Toshack's last game for us?

If we’re going to roll back the clock I went there in @82. Jimmy Mullen got a last minute equaliser.
The bus was early so I wandered around the ground. I went to the top of the vast terrace which I think was the highest or biggest open terrace in the UK.

I think it's only half the size now and covered.

I think one of the biggest open terraces was actually at Vale Park. Froze my nuts off it loads of times watching PV back inthe 70's.

Funny thing was, home and away supporters all streamed in off Hamil Road and all stood around together with no problems - how things have changed.

Unfortunately neither of you qualify for a ticket at this point in time but I shall keep an eye on the ticket sales for you :emoticon-0100-smile

Yes I was at that Charlton game - the only time I have been there. I remember a Charlton fan driving a car at speed down the road towards a large group of City fans. Don't know anyone called Soapy, but sounds a bit of a slippery character :emoticon-0142-happy

No thanks Mart. I'm still in the depths of depression. I'm sure Burt Kwok will go with you.

There I am pondering a few issues, where the next three points are going to come from, and the demise of Fairy Liquid etc, and BT/BFB have mentioned me again...out of the blue! Possessed they are.....moderators sort please! :emoticon-0103-cool: Convinced BFB is BT’s penis or Vicky Verky...not sure which!
