Morning All, As far as I can see the sky is clear, but it is not so light here now at this time of day. Will soon be autumn and the start of the football season. ;)

Off for my lesson this morning and instead of doing my homework last night, spent the time making travel and hotel arrangements. <yikes>

Hope you all have a good day wherever you are in the world and whatever you are doing. <ok>

morning all! Well, that was a bit of a struggle getting in. Hmmpfh! So, off to get some exercise in a bit..but after that a pretty lazy day, with a little bit of studying...oh, and some woman coming round trying to sell me solar panels...hmm, i wonder if we'll ever get any sunshine to make it worthwhile!

I had no trouble getting on here earlier and just now again no problems. ;)

I see that Plymouth have sacked Peter Reid.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14964634.stm

Whatever you might think of him as a player or a manager he clearly did his best for the club while having no tools to work with. He has put his own money into the club, while Peter Ridsdale sits there waiting to buy the club for £1. As far as I know Ridsdale has not put any money in, although I stand to be corrected on that.

A great deal of the problem down there relates to money men coming in and buying bits of the land around the stadium for speculation and development, while having no interest in the football club. Unfortunately open spaces in towns will attract this type of money, which in my opinion does football no good at all. We cannot ignore the fact that many of the clubs have brought this upon themselves as they overspend, then accept anyone who comes along with some cash.

Ridsdale - "a man whose idea of class is renting goldfish by the month." (Grauniad today).
