Tin of sardines in tomato sauce and 4 boiled eggs with soldiers is what I’m having for lunch.

 

Genuine question, what's the difference between a sardine and a pilchard?

 

They don’t sell pilchards in aldi. ?

I prefer mackerel in the tin to be honest guessing sardines were cheaper when she went shopping.

 

I've never looked on the shelves tbph. I just remember Pilchards from when I was a kid. I assume they are the same as Sardines.

 

just googled it. They are the same apparently.

I try an eat oily fish a couple of times a week. Easy out of a tin and nice on toast.

 

Can’t get cream here so improvised with some yoghurt & lemon juice ( albeit a tad runny).
