I check on here every day for updates in the hope something exciting is going to be announced but deep down i’ve accepted if anything does happen it’s going to be on a small scale which won’t have a great deal of impact in the short term. For me our appointment of Phil Parkinson speaks volumes, a cheap option and unambitious. If we were about to have major investment made into the club people in the football world would know about it and the candidates would have been a lot more high profile. Now i’m just desperate to get out of this league then take it from there. My patience with Donald is very thin. Just my opinion. We are now an average league 1 team thanks to selling the likes of oviedo and cattermole and replacing them with frees

Your right, it is entirely possible that the original deal with FPP collapsed, but the fact that the possibility of an initial loan deal with the same people has been circulating since Nixon's 'IT'S OFF' article, leads me to believe that they're still at the table.

Also, if the deal collapsed because of the obstinacy of our current owners (and I'm not suggesting this has happened), then I wouldn't necessarily expect a statement of that by the Yanks, but i do think something would be 'leaked out' via the press to pressurize Donald. These people play hardball. Nixon previously leaked that the deal was off. Maybe this brought Donald back to the negotiating table.

Like everyone else, I'm scratching my head (not my balls), and trying to come up with possible answers, and can't wait for this to be sorted in whatever capacity that may be.

Spot on post for me. More hope than actually thinking anything is going to happen now with a takeover/investment.

I think PP is a decent League One appointment and that's the problem. I'd have loved Stendel because I thought it showed a bit ambition. Mind he probably saw the state of the club and pegged it faster than his ancestors got out of Stalingrad.

Maybe that Nixon was the leak, perhaps he was fed the fake news and was caught out, perhaps we will never know who Dickbutt really is...

I agree with this. I've long since woken up regarding Donald and Methven and think they're responsible for the mess the first team, the u-23's and u-18's are all in. I'm so, so frustrated at this takeover process and when it comes to light why it didn't happen a month ago, I think there will be a lot of questions to answer. However, if Donald has got them onboard, then I hope he gets the credit due to him...

I've past caring now it will happen when it happens...

I'm confident it will go through as can't see why @Smug in Boots would talk ****... if it does turn out to be bollocks he has done the biggest wind up in the history of football.

Pretty sure that's not the case though!
