It was the will of 52% of those who actually voted on false promises three and a half years ago Ellers. The electorate has changed in the meantime, and we now have more knowledge of the difficulties involved. Democracy is an ongoing thing - if you are so certain about 'the will of the people' why are you so afraid of a second referendum ? The answer to that is obvious.
There you go again. Spoiling the fantasy with a few home truths. When I tried previously to call out the Brexiteers to explain whey they were so implacably afraid I mean opposed to a second referendum given they were so certain they'd win again they stopped answering and went off to sulk.

Now I don’t know what you all think about ER and climate change stuff.
But they said on the news that there is a new condition called
eco-anxiety
and many youngsters are suffering from this believing the World will end in 12 years.
WTF are they putting into children’s heads!
Don’t, I’ve had to block my deceased brothers daughter on Facebook, she has become a complete climate change lunatic, she honestly believes we only have 12 years left, she is blaming me, her fathers only brother for putting her child at risk of imminent death, because I drive a motor vehicle and eat meat, she is on medication for eco anxiety, Aspergers and other assorted mental health issues, her child has to live with its grandmother because of my nieces condition, I believe all brought about by the crap being taught these days to children.

I see Germany in the latest Eastern regional elections is moving to the extreme right and extreme left, leaving Merkel in third place. A consequence of a virtually unrestricted immigration policy.

Meanwhile, Sweden, a country that once had very low crime rates, has experienced 100 bomb attacks in 6 months. Bomb explosions, mostly by immigrant gangs, are now a normal part of everyday Swedish life

When are the authorities going to realise that when they import people in huge numbers from poor, largely lawless countries, there will be negative consequences, and that the key to a successful immigration policy is gradual assimilation into the receiving populace.

What you mean is that Thuringen is moving to the extreme right and extreme left - like many other states in the former East Germany. The reasons behind this are that the reunification of Germany has not been an unqualified success (to put it mildly) - it is not a problem of the whole of Germany. Places like Thuringen, Saxony and Brandenburg hardly ever see immigrants, yet they are the areas which are becoming radicalized. The highest concentrations of both immigrants and refugees are found in places like Cologne and Düsseldorf where the far right hardly register as a political force. Can you move as far as to separate the themes of immigration and refugees ? Germany does not have uncontrolled immigration - and the peak of the refugee flow is over. Germany opened it's doors to refugees because of a dangerous bottleneck which had developed in the Balkans - most notably in Hungary - rather than criticize that it would be helpfull to suggest another humane course of action which would have met the same ends ie. saving lives. The reason why Germany appears to have a problem with radicalization has to do with the void left in the former East Germany, and the demoralization found there. Integrating West and East Germany is a far greater challenge than anything resulting from either immigration or refugees.

I’m not scared of another vote....bring it on as long as it’s just Leave v remain because we would win bigger next time. Only problem is it won’t be fair. It’s just a losers vote. It’s only you fanatics that want it because you hope to win the next one.
Stop mentioning democracy when you can’t accept a result. It’s only taken 3 years because of fanatical remoaners stopping us leaving.
Biggest vote in our history must be respected and implemented otherwise democracy in this country is dead.

Blame Labour for turning this country into Labour society. I don’t think you will find a school application without the kid having something wrong with them. They don’t need Greta funbags scaring the @@@@ out of them.

I wonder how her mums book is selling? :emoticon-0127-lipss

There were indeed refugees, but also a lot of economic migrants among them. I accept what you say, Cologne, but Merkel is unsettled. She seems to be changing her immigration policy, benefits system etc in response to the continued rise of the AfD.

I do not see that there is a great difference between refugees and economic migrants Goldie. When someone is standing in a bombed city which was once their home then they can become both. I can flee a country because my life is at risk through murder, hunger or excessive pollution. In my home town of Engelskirchen we have taken 400 refugees (against a population of 20,000) - the main problem is not their origins, skin colour or religion but the fact that they are, predominantly, men. Integration would be much easier if whole families were coming. 400 bored young men without money, or occupation, equals a potential problem regardless of their origins. A sudden influx of 400 young Scousers could be even more of a problem ! From the 400 we have taken there are about 30 countries represented - the odd individual from Albania or Serbia, and one Chinese, but predominantly from Syria, Somalia, Eritrea, Iraq and Afghanistan and thus probably legitimate refugees. Besides which all claims to asylum have to be processed, wherever they come from - that is international law.

Has Dominic Cummings told you to keep using 'fanatics' when talking about Remainers?

It seems to me that the real fanatics are on the other side - anyone that thinks leaving with no deal is a good idea.
Stop knocking my word ”fanatics” as I have had to put up with ”cliffedge” and ”crash out”. The Tories do have fanatics I agree, but I think there are more remainer fanatics.
Anyway the remoan camp is splitting SNP and Limps want an election....bring it on!

Bloody hell Corbyn is making himself look more unelectable by the day. Talking about being out if ones depth! He is not a statesman and just made a massive goof. The labour benches look like a right motley crew of muppets.
We seriously need a GE to get rid of these freaks.

Yeah Autism is just a made up condition to make up for the lack of good parenting, eh Ellers ?

My MP John Redwood just made a great speech. Maybe Corbyn should take a few lessons on how to be a statesman and how to speak in the house without looking like a muppet.

Actually I take some of that back. While Blacford has been ranting Jezza looked over at him and gave him a look that basically said ” shut up you Scottish muppet”. Good old Jezza! <cheers>
