I guess that's as close as we'll ever get to you admitting you got it wrong.

So Costa hasn't been 'getting as good a service'? <confused>

So that's why he can't tackle, shoot, head or cross? <doh>

That’s total minutes, it doesn’t reflect time spent on the pitch at the same time <ok> Not sure how the scoring is calculated but it shows how Dallas and Harrison are both ahead of the likes of Costa, Forshaw, Klich and Alioski, even Douglas is ahead of Costa.

The majority of the time together was 10-15 minutes here and there and I can’t remember a stand out Costa moment. You say they played one 45 minute game together, can you remember which one, I’ll see if I can dig out some highlights

Was it (and I stand to be corrected) Costa that set up the two tap ins for Eddie? And one through to Costa was from Shackleton ?

Quite possibly, the stand out game for me (for Costa) was surely the cup game when Pablo never played. I just can’t remember seeing Pablo and Costa linking up in a meaningful manner, most their time together was very limited when Costa was coming on for the final 10-15 minutes and it must be said with fresh legs.

Costa just hasn’t grabbed his chance and will surely be dropped when Pablo is fit again.

I believe it was Barnsley, Costa come on for Harrison in the 46th minute, played 48 minutes includes 4 mins add on time.

You're becoming obsessed Ristac, I suggest you jump off that bandwagon cos the obsession has got hold of you like a disease.

Costa and Pablo have played a total of 133 minutes together (plus whatever time has been added for injury time) this season. The majority of games have been around 15/20 minutes however Costa did come on at half time in the game against Barnsley and thus played 45 minutes in the same team as Pablo.

However, I can't remember Costa doing anything that stands out when Pablo has been on the pitch, as opposed to them not playing together. Costa's most memorable moments for us have probably been his assists to Eddie in the game against Salford, which Pablo didn't play and the game against Brentford, which by the time we scored, Pablo had been replaced by Eddie. The Brentford game is the only game this season where Costa has been given an overall rating of greater than 7 in a game by whoscored.com ( and yes I appreciate ratings are subjective, but at least these are given by a neutral without any kind of agenda)

Obsessed with what? You stated Costa has dipped in form because Pablo isn’t playing, I’m simply pointing out that there are serious flaws in that statement, the fact they’ve played very few minutes together being the number one flaw.

I asked for evidence of which game they played well together in so I can watch some footage of this great combination, thought it better to do that instead of wrongly accusing you of telling porkies

You're pointing out your opinion versus mine, and others cos I doubt I'm on my own in my opinion.

You have your evidence, both from me and Morbid white.

He also played 33 minutes v Derby but Pablo was subbed after 74 minutes.

According to the attached in the Barnsley match he played to his usual standard, about 6.4 ( I don't know how these ranking are worked out) Pablo had one of his less influential games, although it did improve in the second half when Costa came on

    Costa Rating with time played

Pablo Rating with time maxing out at about 6.7

To be honest I don't know what all this proves. I would just like Costa to make a more positive contribution to the team but I suspect our high pressing game doesn't play to his strengths of speed and getting past people in a more counter attack type of game.

This amused me, so I watched all the Barnsley highlights I could find. Oddly enough, I guess I could have looked on here, courtesy, of the good Captain. But I used You Tube, to my chagrin. And guess what - Costa did indeed replace Harrison - directly - as the LW. Pablo continued as the RW. So if there was a collaboration, it was probably cross-wing balls to each other (but I doubt it!). Not so easy to have a close onfield relationship when you're 75yds apart on opposite wings, is it?

I suspect the bold Captain's warped mind assumed that Pablo moved to #10 whenever Costa came on. But as usual, left it as an assumption without checking his facts. Quel surpris! Perhaps he should have watched his own highlights, ironically.

Exactly my point WJ it’s not an opinion that Costa plays better when Pablo is on the field, it’s just not been a possibility to judge.

Morbid White was confirming Costas probable stand out game was when Pablo wasn’t actually playing, I could be wrong but I certainly don’t see Morbid Whites comments as being along the lines that he agrees with your claim...

Others and WJ have since pointed out that the 45 minute spell they played together was on opposite wings, Costa came on for Harrison. I’m just pointing out it’s an impossible fake claim to say Costa has dipped in form due to Pablo not providing him a supply line.

Unless Bielsa plays Costa or Pablo at 10 we’ll probably see very little of them in the same team unless opposite flanks. Costa just isn’t suited at the moment to the style of football being expected from him.

I’m not hating on Costa, every game I’m willing him to turn a corner and look like the Costa I hoped he was going to be but it’s not happening.

You can see Costa has something about him but it just isn’t coming out and I fear it never will under Bielsa style football in the formation we are playing

I never stated Costa had standout games when Pablo played, I said his form has probably dipped a bit since Pablo got injured.

I'm well aware Costa played on opposite wing to Pablo during Barnsley game, I do my research as you well know.. You were the one that stated Costa only played 50 minutes when Pablo played, you were wrong. I counted the minutes Costa played while Pablo was on pitch.

I don't think it's a fake claim, it's called opinions, you know that word cos you use it often; you're just trying to justify having a go at me cos I criticise Phillips..

You got it wrong saying 50 minutes, now you're trying to build a case to justify your original claim.

I had a look for the others, couldn't find'em, and WJ is muted, I'm surprised you're still listening to him.

I had mentioned Morbid White in my previous post, so wasn't hiding anything there, and Eccers posted a couple of graphs, but I couldn't find the others as you claimed.

I write my opinions in the highlights post, and I'll still write my opinions in future. Everyone is entitled to debate their opinions as you've said in past, and if they disagree with me then I welcome their debate (not attempts at belittling) if they wish to air their views.

You're quite welcome to do the highlights post and add your opinions on game and players if you wish.
