I can 100% guarantee that you will finish above us in May. Watch. We may well both finish out of the CL spots, but you'll still have the bragging rights.

One thing for sure after today - the current top 4 will be the final top 4

Maybe, but I'd take whatever odds are offered.
Who else can bridge the gap?

Let me see if I can use the same level of argument

    *ahem*

Unless Erik Lamela is not fit to play for Tottenham Hotspur, there should not a single solitary game which the Argentine does not play over Danny Rose

...let's just ignore they don't play in the same position, thus making the comparison is ****ing stupid

The old school of thinking with managers used to be don't change the team unless forced to by injury. Teams used to win the league by virtue of an unchanged side.It was considered a huge advantage to field the same 11 each week. The modern game is now about squads rather than 11's. The changes in the game better pitches, lighter balls, football slippers rather than the hobnail boots I used to wear and vastly improved fitness levels have all contributed to a much faster game with 'athletes' having to be at the very top of their physical potential to compete.
Go back to our double winning team and the players would smoke and have a pint or two and that was BEFORE the game <laugh> George Best and Jimmy Greaves among others both admitted to playing when the worse for wear.
This all means that successful sides must be able to use their squads effectively and like it or not Pochettino is a modern manager and he does not see an 11 at all, he sees a squad. You therefore have to expect that he will pick players from his squad and work his game plan out with his staff and then not want to vary that unless forced to. Hence subs will usually be late in the game when he has no alternative, or of course because of injury or suspension. Doing this he has produced the best results for Spurs since Burkinshaw so reasonably sees no reason to move away from that pattern.
All of this is self evident if you have watched him manage Spurs over the last 5 years. So you can jump up and down and get exaperated all you like I doubt he is going to see your point of view and change. Why should he? What he has done has worked and talk of how it hasn't been that good in the last 10 or how ever many months doesn't cut it when you can simply say that for the first time in the history of Tottenham Hotspur we reach the CL final. As far as I am concerned we would be incredibly stupid to throw this manager away and once more step out into the field of unknown management when you could argue that really Pochettino is our only recent manager who has any chance whatsoever of ending with a place in history alongside our other 3 great ones.

United Spurs & Arsenal are all capable of doing that.

Maybe todays players are too fit.Don't remember seeing so many players going down with all sorts of sprains as we do today. Perhaps ours should pop in to the Bell & Hare for a couple of halves before the game.....or use the buses instead of their Mercs. Standing and rocking is good for you!!!!!......and some hob nailed boots to practice in.

Burnley FC won the league in 1959/60 using only 18 player for the entire season as an example of what I was saying about changes to the game.

    I doubt it.
    But only time will tell.
I think all three have problems which makes the possibility of any of them taking the required 60-65 points from the remaining 28 games extremely unlikely.

That is irrelevant....both players might have committed an offence. Mane might have tripped Aurier and Aurier might have kicked Mane. The usual criteria for that is who touched the ball last.

Eriksen and Winks had no place starting in that team today. I cannot even remember the last time Eriksen put in an effective performance for us, and Winks is a bang average player who’s a substitute, at best, for a team with supposed title aspirations.

The reason managers are paid £££M per year is because the job is difficult. I would sooner the posters on here performed brain surgery on me than were put in charge of managing my beloved Spurs. Pochettino is arguably our best manager ever yet people want to sack him for a few bad results. I will support Spurs whether we do or don't but things will be much worse if we do. He needs our support not unfounded criticism.

Klopp rarely changes his XI unless forced too, sits top of the league by 6 points.
Poch changes his XI regularly and sits 11th, 16 (yes, 16!) points off of Liverpool.

More than a 1/4 of the season gone and nothing I’ve seen from United, Spurs or Arsenal makes me think they can catch the top 4.

Saying that i’m not overly convinced by Chelsea, part of me thinks Lampard is having a little golden period like Ole did when he took over Man Utd.

    Best manager ever? Wow

It’s not just a few bad results either, it’s like 20 defeats in the last 40 games I think. He’s become a bad manager but I think he’s ran out of ideas with Spurs.
