Worse than garbage. Our defending at set pieces and inability to track players is woeful. Just our luck our best 2 players are out injured. Lucky to be still in it. A horrendous display so far.
Pathetic. Endless kicking the ball nowhere. Endless losing possession. Endless throw ins up the touch line. Slow, meaningless and turgid. No game management. No pattern. What’s the point of 2 wingers if they don’t get the ball in space? Pack and Ralls were abysmal. Created two chances of note in 90 minutes. This is as bad a City squad I’ve seen at this level since I can remember. Flirting with relegation is a reality with much more of these recent displays.
That was an embarrassing performance. We can't pass a ball. Aimlessly heading the ball up in the air out of defence instead of getting down and passing. This is truly prehistoric stuff. If ever there were a case for a change in direction, today's effort laid it out bare.
You know the problem OS don’t you? The people who run the club haven’t any understanding of football. They should have thanked NW after last season and waved him off with gratitude for his amazing feats but no, they gave him one more season and so far one more terrible transfer window, and just expected him to succeed again. Fans vote with their feet. Much more of this and they’ll turn. Not once this season have City played well. Constantly being overrun by neat little quick midfielders and then conceding bad goals. When was the last time an opposing team scored a good goal all of their own making? I ask myself continuously what was the point of this season? City were always going to be treading water waiting for the new manager. This squad is all but a replica of the promotion one and was never going to repeat that. We all want quick exciting passing and movement and one on ones and sustained pressure on the opposing team but we were never going to get that this season; rather we’ve had the same old hoofing up the field, long throws down the line and error after error. I don’t know where City go from here but I go back to my first point; the problem lies off the field with the likes of Dalman who knows less about football than my mother. Until the club has a rethink and a reboot it’s going to continue to be a chore watching City.
Warnock has lost his ability to motivate and, maybe, the players don't want to be motivated. The loss of Manga is being felt every game. Flint is a poor, slower substitute. Gunnar had his faults but could drive forward from midfield as could Arter. Pack is little more than a third central defender. He is as lost as Peltier beyond the halfway line. Camarasa's skill and guile is a huge loss which we never appeared to want to replace. I'm sure our strikers can score but they need opportunities. Without Tomlin and our wingers being unable to get by their markers what chance do they have? Without improvement and I can't see where that will come from apart from the boost of Bamba returning - assuming he is fully fit - I think Warnock and his buddies will leave at Christmas. Whether or not there is a capable substitute in the wings - Hughton doesn't have a job yet, does he? - is another matter. Whoever comes in, a comprehensive rebuild of playing staff, attitude and tactics is needed.
Warnock and Co. should be shown the door, not leave when they decide they've had enough, because we who pay to watch this stuff already have. We seem to have an ongoing problem with trios. Warnock, Blackwell and Jepson outdated tactically, with Dalman, Choo and Tan responsible for keeping them here as the easy option. A bit like the Three Stooges meets Wilson, Keppel and Betty - FFS, beam me up Scotty.
Bonkers playing 442 and recalling Glatzel. The worrying thing even though we were shocking weve actually been worse. We need a rebuilding job and a change of direction.
I have to say it, Swansea were a million miles ahead of us today and currently and have been for some time. Class from them today, we were passing to their players so much I think some of our players must have silently signed for them! None of our first team would get anywhere near their side. Glatzel was sh*te.. Ward and Bogle looked a good partnership! Flint and Morro are far too similar.. Sorry, change is needed now!
We were very poor at Reading, but this debacle today was far worse because we didn't learn from that previous drubbing. Reading put 3 on us but in all honesty, that scoreline today was not reflective of the game. Swansea should have score half a dozen. Only their wastefullness plus some massive last minute blocks kept us in the game. They should have been out of sight and not running the clock down ar the corner flag. We were clueless going forward and can't pass a ball to save our lives. We were shown how to play football today and it wont change with the present regime running things on the pitch and probably the boardroom as well.
Dyer and Routledge have more footballing skills in their bootlaces than the entire Cardiff squad could muster on their best day.
You have my deepest sympathies, that was the worst Cardiff team I have ever watched, no motivation, no passion, and no communication throughout your team, and if it was not for our poor final ball in front of goal, you would and should have lost that by a shed full! The scoreline flattered you, and Warnock endlessly blamed the ref all game, in-between screaming at your keeper and players, the worst hoofball I have ever seen, seems your team has lost all desire and appetite for the beautiful game............
