I never predicted they wouldn't win the league.

I predicted that, despite winning the league, they would fall into a spiral domestically, which is exactly what happened.

 

Quentin ... you actually said that we "might just hold on to a European spot" ... your prediction was humiliating for you .. now don't make me have to find it and expose your humiliation all over again

Whereas they did well and the potato Omelettes ended up with egg on their face with group elimination

 

Lucky for Spurs they didn't win anything then or else they might go into a domestic spiral

You predicted we 'might just hold on' to a European spot, Omlette - we won the title.

Then you predicted our European campaign would be disaster - we were the last English club standing, Omlette, having won our group.

Then you predicted that we would have a downward spiral and would be relegated - over the next few seasons - you even accepted a bet to that effect with me, Omelette ... then welched it.

Our 'spiral' can be summed up by Christian Fuchs who has commented that the current squad is on a "different level" to the one that won the title - as the all time record top flight away win in English football has just demonstrated.

Now if you still don't get it, Omlette ... try less eggs in the mix ... coz your consistency is obviously still a bit too thick

Even to a complete idiot, my reference to “the league” is clearly a reference to the season after they fluked the title. Ie their success in winning the league came at the cost of mid table obscurity the following season. In other words, I was bang on the money.

As regards the CL, getting to the QF is hardly a hallmark of success.

 

But i thought Spurs did a dvd on their rise and fail to the CL final.
