I dont think I'll be able to fake it for the whole game, especially if there's a few goals. When Best scored at the weekend someone on the phone in the other room nearly had a heart attack.

Tiote has to play, his performances suggest he is still playing his pre season, needs the games. The only ones I'd be looking to change are maybe Ferguson for Raylor, get Gosling and Guthrie involved in front of Tiote, and give Sammi and Marveaux a go wide. You need a smattering of first team players. Harper has to play obviously.

 

Not a member! And I'm off with my dad, who, being a Leeds fan, unsurprisingly isn't a member either. So would've had to fork up an extra 20 quid, is it? each on top of the ticket prices.

I agree we need a strong team, this is an important competition for us, its a route into Europe and its something to keep Ashley interested (I know thats not what all fans want, but I'd prefer a ****e owner who is keen, than a ****e owner who doesn't care, and he isn't going to sell any time soon!)

Starting Elliot because he is a completely unknown entity despite being on our bench every game. He needs action and we as fans need confidence in his abilities.

Back 4
Kadar next to an experienced defender is the way I want to play it (switch them at half time). He needs an opportunity and I don't see where else it will come from at this stage in the season? Keep the same RB/LB - they're performances are picking up little by little and fatigue will matter less now that Santon is reportedly less injured than we feared!

Midfield
Sammy to start, purely for his recent performances and attitude. Other than that, keep Tiote and Cabaye together: Cabaye is our creative spark and Tiote is only just coming back into form, give them more time to gel before Blackburn. Plus Tiote is away in February so we need to make the most of him while we can! Marveaux to start on the right. Obertan has had a few chances and Marveaux has looked more effective than him in all of the 15/20 minutes he's played!

Strikers
Ba and Best seem to be confidence players, Best is scoring goals and long may it continue, playing lesser opponents will give him and Ba the opportunity to get both their tally and their confidence up...Keep Ba on (he needs his first goal) and allow Ben Arfa at least 30 minutes!

 

I think we should field a strong team in every cup game, its another chance to sneak into europe (results depending)

Pardew quoted as saying he sees Sammy as a cameo player at this stage of his career so dont see him starting. I'd like to see 2 of Shola/Ba/Lovenkrans starting all 3 need game time, confidence and to start scoring (hopefully).

Would like to see Gosling back possibly with Guthrie.

The team i have put there should be capeable of getting a result which we need as one way to get the club moving forward is a good cup run with possible entry into europe which can then entice future transfer targets.

Also keen to rest key players for the Blackburn game.

Dont think our squad is as thin as some people like to make out but still dreading the point where we lose confidence/form and get found out by better more organised teams.
