In all seriousness, where is the quality and when was the last time you saw it? There are probably two squads in the EPL that I wouldn’t swap for ours. I’d back our manager to have Watford pushing the top 6 for what it’s worth. We may have players that can kick a ball but we are weaker than a paper straw.

Our new signings are the one big hope yet Ralph has been hampered by injuries and still persists with the same shower of ****e we have been burdened by for 3-4 seasons for some reason.

Playing players out of position is not normal practice so rather than presume that an experienced manager who has delivered in top division football thinks he can do what no manager in their right mind would choose to do I start thinking that there is a big f’ing mess happening in front of me.

There is more at fault than Ralph here. Look at the patterns, who is even running the club anymore? Everything is collapsing around Ralph as I see it.

 

We are just so far away even the side that got us promoted, it's scary. We at least had spirit and commitment and did some basics.

RH does get a slight pass, IMO, because the team is absolutely ****e, and has been for ages. But wtf games has he been watching the last few?

Our team now, realistic assessment:

Gunn - Dreadful, why did we buy him?
Valery - might be good in 4 years, barely league 1 atm
Bednarek - Top championshp player, still learning. Could be good.
Yoshida - relegation fodder but tries hard, occasionally good next to a decent defender
Vestergaard - abysmal. ****ing terrible, terrible player
Bertrand - his head is gone. Shocking for at least a year
Romeu - had some good games this season tbf, not our weakest link
JWP - have given him so much time, thought he finally was coming good last season, but this season he is just a shadow
PEH - Talker, stands up, needs guidance. But **** at most things, including passing.
Redmond - Ran and ran, tried hard. A PL player
Ings - Two players that look like theyve played football before, I guess that's something.

Subs: absolute colossal waste of space. Got rid of targett and lemina and never replaced them.
Paid **** loads for so much dross. Squad is baffling.

 

I know we've been through a lot of **** - and boy have we - but that must be the single most embarrassing night of my life as a Saints fan.

Come off it, I didn't want to pretend I know anything more than what has been rumored.
Rumored to not like puel, not like hughes and not like RH. Maybe its not the manager but the player. Maybe thats why RH dropped him and had to play wingers and midfielders in his position. Maybe he was trying to freeze out the problems and build a team around the players who he can trust. Maybe he was making a point about not having a full squad of players..

 

That has been resounding in my head for much of the past two years tbh.

 

Ralph was asked if he was gonna leave. He answered, "Nein! Nein!"

 

Quite often after a slaughter like that, a side defy the odds and surprise people. So two narrowish defeats against City coming up.

 

Cant help thinking the headline actually reads “we might as well let Ralph stay for the 2 Man City games, coz we’re gonna get spanked whoever is in charge”
