As I understand it they want to sever links with England, as they don’t want to have anything to do with Westminster. They are though happy to join the faceless bureaucrats In Brussels. Questions: will they have to raise an army, Air Force & Navy? What happens to the nuclear subs ( huge amount of investment in Scotland with the RAF and the Navy) Would Barmoral be sold off, or would the Queen need a passport to visit? Many Scottish people live and work in England, would they be required to have visas and passports to hand and have to pay for any medical services? So many questions and it all is seemingly mad, but with the way things are going it could really happen.
Could you blame them for wanting to be away from the shower of s**te that is the current establishment. Everything is targeted towards the south so good luck to them. Our problem living in the North East is that once they get devolution it means "suburbs" like us are f**ked because we will only ever see a tory government because the people in middle england will continue to hold sway
I would happily vote for them if I lived in Scotland. I'd probably vote for independence if I was Scottish and Brexit goes ahead as well.
We in the North East have far more in common with the people of Scotland than we do with people in the south east.
I have it on very very good authority that a very large and well known manufacturer and employer will commence upping stcks and do one once brexit is finalized. Apparently Spain or Greece will be their new centre of operations. Make of that what you will
The SNP wouldn't win another referendum. Recent surveys done by a pro-independence campaign in Scotland showed the Scottish people were even more in favour of protecting the union now. The Scottish people with a brain look at what the SNP have done for the country since devolution and it's a scary outlook.
Devolve the Union ASAP. Let them sink or swim. I don't particularly care which as long as Scotland ****s off.
I live in Scotland so got a vote last time. I voted no for the simple reason they couldn't tell you what would happen if it Was a yes. They never said what would happen about the things mentioned in the OP. They couldn't say what currency we would have (Salmond Just kept saying we'd keep the pound despite being told we couldnt). They couldn't say how They would pay for stuff going forward (Just kept going on about oil). Far to many unanswered questions and it would be the same again this time. Doubt they actually want to be part of the EU they are just using Brexit as an excuse to try and force another referendum.
Well I will go against the majority here. Evil little krankie is a power mad f*cking nutter ( bit like the main two she is against to be honest). She talks utter utter crap. She just wants to be remembered in history, written into the books for years to come, as boss of Scotland. I have no problem with the vast majority of Scots mind. Brill people. Anyway am p*ssed and probably not making much sense but a damn sight more than she does.
That’s the problem as I see it. politicians, especially partisan and extremist party’s, play on what divides us because they want power. There is far more across this land that unites us than divides us. The SNP are very shy when it comes to whom will have to pay for their complete independence. They are in power ATM and are making a right mess of their financial independence. I do wonder what will happen when they severe links, as in what do the million or so of Scottish people living in England do? I don’t think the SNP have thought it through, nor have they been seriously questioned about their intentions. They don’t really care either, as they just hate the English and would rather be managed by unelected Eurocrats in Brussels then be with us. Our nationalist party's are branded racist, but the SNP get away with it? Mind it might be useful, we can send Moyes over the border, never to be seen again
Yeah there’s no way Nissan would go to a country where they already have 3 factories and build 155,000 cars a year. Oh.
Watch production go down the pan, quality control and an increase in sick days, strikes... good luck to them
Is he another one who couldn't get out the country fast enough but still believes he has a right to get upset about whats happening with Brexit?
On holiday in Crieff atm... yes some are very keen on having another (and another) referendum until they get the leave vote they want. Others think the SNP only ever think of independence and have made a right mess of running the country... Has Brexit helped the push for independence god knows.. or if a leave vote will win next time?
