Not always the way it works in the championship though. Millwall were rubbish and that didn’t go well

If we go back 60 years, so even before the success of the Revie era, people came to ER and cheered the team on, yeah? If you were a fan, you shouted for your team, win lose or draw. How often did a Leeds crowd boo their team? The only people they booed were the opposition.

Nowadays we appear to prefer to criticise instead of cheering. Fans prefer to pick holes on social media rather than cheering the lads on at ER when things don’t click immediately, no tolerance, no patience. The club is still the club, but fans irrationally expect us still to be competing at the highest level because we once did.

Maybe Leeds are basically a second tier club. If that’s the case (as it currently is financially), why is everybody screaming when our players make the mistakes of second tier players? If you can’t support the side when they’re not top-flight and winning every week, why are you here?

If we want to get back into the money and limelight, publicly bad-mouthing limited players and the best manager we’ve had in decades is shameful and counter-productive. None of us is better placed than Bielsa to know what’s best for Leeds at this point.

If he plays Bamford on Saturday and we lose, so what? A new manager might play Nketiah next week and still lose.

Let’s all act like a 50s fan, and support the team. If you’re getting on like me and you want success yesterday, too bad, it might happen and it might not - support the team anyway. If you don’t like what’s happening with player choices, support the team anyway. If we’re sh1te support the team, if they sack the manager and bring in somebody else, support the team.

Why are some people moaning endlessly on here ffs when we’re better placed now than for 15 years? If they were really encouraging one post and scathing the next I could accept it, but some are just feckin’ miserable for the sake of it and have nothing positive to offer.

We’ll go up this year I think, but we’ve more chance if all our fans are encouraging and positive. Otherwise we’ll go up in spite of you.

    MOT

Could have been written by a professional journalist, Davy. Well written, excellent content & critical message that has to sink in in certain quarters. <applause>

So debate must now end and everyone get in an identical hymn sheet. Should be exciting reading <laugh> anyway I’ve more important things to worry about right now like surviving this weekend with a bunch of thirsty alcoholics in Glasgow

For somebody who claims to like debate and discussion you don't half get upset when somebody expresses a different opinion. I'm sure it isn't meant that we should all agree on everything but moaning for the sake of moaning appears to be the new orange and comes across as pretty crass.

Should we be losing match after match and playing badly etc then it's clear a lot of posters on here would rightly be miffed. Would it be wrong in that instance for everybody to agree we are playing crap?

In my opinion we are playing well, missing more goal opportunities than we should be and giving me too many scares to feel comfortable that we are going to hold onto slim leads. I worry if there are going to be any signings in January and if so who, is the club going to fold next week I'm less worried than I used to be and are we going to get promoted, I'm always hopeful.

That's my opinion it's not a truth it's not going to offend me if you disagree, quite the opposite in fact.

Social media has made the impact of moaning more noticeable but it's always happened. How many times have you been in a football crowd and the guy next to you has called out a player for not doing what he thinks they should have done? Then they've produced a wonderful through ball, or similar, split the defence and we've scored and this critic is then signing the praises of the player he just lambasted.

Social media is the modern equivalent of the emperors new clothes. A stupid post is liked, re-tweeted etc and before long it's a truth that nobody can deny. It's not debate though it's following the crowd and taking the easy option. Debate and discussion to me is reasoning and exchanging views to get an understanding of the other opinion exactly because we will never agree on everything.

Have a great time in Glasgow and don't do anything I wouldn't <cheers>

Morning all its matchday once again. It is hammering down here so would think sheffield is too.
What will we play like on a sodden pitch. Will we tire due to the intense training regime.. Can weds play in these conditions ive not seen them play. Im hoping for at least a draw and a better performance from certain players.

Wendies are doing well but I'm going for the usual 0-2, even though they are good up front. <cheers>

LOOKING at recent results for Wed I see that they are generally winning games 1-0 they have not played any gig teams yet so its difficult to judge them Monk as we know won home and away last season so lets hope we can emulate this .Also seeing the stats for Leicester last night we have similar every week but show poor returns .Lets hope this inspires them

They were playing against 10 players for most of the match. Having said that it doesn't usually help us so I'm with you and hoping for 0-9

I've had a couple of vinos though <cheers>
