Perhaps it is the left wing media bias but I don't see many business leaders appearing to say how wonderful this all is and how much money they are going to make after Brexit. They seem happy to indulge in a bit of xenophobia to try and prove a point.

Not everyone agrees with every tax or how it gets spent, if you asked everyone to pick out what they did or didn't like their tax being spent on the whole system would collapse.

Perhaps, but that's not the point I was making, in fact you seem to be confirming it by focusing on Brexit, yet ignoring the alleged greater impact of the Climate Change measures as calculated by the self and same bodies.

 

Climate change is fake news.

There have always been climatic changes throughout the planets history.

 

The only difference now is whilst building an empire based on banking and sucking the planets resources dry the rorthschild next big earner is on green energy...... Future proofing the families grip on the manopoly board.

The planet will continue to be a living energy long after we've become extinct..... It still doesn't excuse our greedy pathetic materialistic needs mind

 

Agree. But we in the West have no right to dictate to developing nations considering how responsible we are in the first place. Sheer hypocrisy.

And don't get me started on our hypocritical stance on nuclear armaments.

The sooner this planet expires the better for all concerned.

Make a vague point and you are going to get vague replies. The intimation was that folks on here, or in general, were making issue with how much we would or wouldn't save by ditching Europe but failing to make any mention of how much "we" would be hit in the pocket by climate change rules.

My point is that you can't expect everyone to take up arms for every cause. I mentioned Brexit as it is polarising opposing points of view with very little chance of a consensus. You will get the same sort of reaction to most subjects, climate change included.

Try making a point about moon landings, 9/11 or whether or not the Earth is flat then stand well back and watch the fireworks.

 

It's hardly a 'vague' point, especially compared to your very broad brush reply, and I've clarified it in the other replies where I point out it was more related to posters on this forum.

As I said, all you're doing is confirming the point.
