I remember that being posted in the old Nest on the BBC but it was there for a very short time before it disappeared.

Ak more eskimos the better. Seriously she would live inside the arctic circle given a chance.

Norway glad to hear it. I look forward to sharing a pint or two

Guys i have just had a thought. It has been mentioned that you do not like scrolling through the entire thread to get to the new pages and i just wondered if changing settings might help.

If you set it to Linear view might that work. It is only a thought and might not, but surely its worth a try. It works for me.

There is only one piece of Ísland inside the Arctic Circle. That is the island of Grimsey. The only town on Grimsey is Sandvík with a population of about 65.

Grimsey? - sounds like a grimmer version of Grimsby. If that is possible!

Good, I think all of my hard work tonight on travel arrangements will get me to the Vic. <magic>

I wonder if with a bit more effort I can get to meet up with Brag again? It might be possible as one day I will be near him. Then of course there is Al as I will be near him also.

The more I think about this trip the better it sounds. ;)

Grimsey is nearly 100km north of Akureyri.

For settings there is one to turn the posts round so last is first and the original post number 1 is last.

W_Y the names are similar and mean nearly the same thing.

Grim is a personal name and ey (from eyja) is island and by is village in Old Norse, so you have Grim's island or Grims village.

Should be down your way round the 17th Oct.

I wonder how many remember the radio program that ran for years called Down Your Way?

OFH, I remember the title but never listened to it.

I have finally managed to persuade my son to join not606 - I think his username is Jerseypie but I'll know for certain on Friday. He might not post anything until then when he's here but if you see a username along those lines you know it's him.
