There is probably no chance of this working but occassionally a decent, interesting chat breaks out where fans from different clubs chat about a play, club or football matter without wumming. So I wondered if we could have this one thread where we could chat about players, clubs, managers, transfers, ticket prices etc without the wumming. (But please God...no fecking Brexit!) Is it worth a try?
I'm going to the theatre on Sunday, to see Dead of Night Dance. Not really a play as such, more acrobatic, music and short theatrical pieces.
Gove giving the secret "Guy next to me is a tosser" sign. Moggy giving the secret "I know" response ...
Good call. Just bring in the Rugby system with miked up referees and it is all sorted. Use only for yellow and red cards, penalties and goals. And make yellow cards 10 minute sin bins while we are at it.
And do it now before linesmen completely forget how to raise their flags I don’t like the sin bin idea. Too many yellow cards as it is, for often innocuous fouls.
I would allow teams 2 challenges per match...if they challenge and it goes in their favour they keep the 2 if not it goes down. The appeal decision is reviewed by non refereeing staff so there is none of this "do not want to undermine a colleague" bollocks that is currently happening. You could advertise and get a panel that is a mix of "lay people" to look at the decisions at pitch side and if they think the ref is wrong they can tell him to reverse the decision (like with the penalty Watford were denied v us) or to re look at the issue on the pitch side screen if they think a second look by the ref is needed (like the hand ball Villa were denied in the last minute a few weeks back) ...as happens in the CL and the last World Cup. The 2 challenge rule will ensure it ain't used to waste time and it'll be a big improvement on the penalty farce that is currently occurring most weeks.
