Aww leave him alone, it was his first time, and he is unlucky enough as it is Imagine you get to Captain the Manchester United football team, and its THIS Manchester United football team.......
But he did, Pixie. For years, Arsenal have played lots of nice tippy tappy footy, but got no where with it. Pepe fits your mould perfectly.
I dont think he has looked all that clever so far, but you gotta give him a bit more time. Not every player hits the ground running when they get to the PL, he has played 9 league games ffs. It stands to reason that his best performance has been against a foreign team. Remember he is from the poncey French league as well. Bit unfair to judge a newbie after 9 games!
Hadn't really seen much of Pepe until last night ... but that is how to answer critics for sure ... technique on the first goal was excellent. In contrast, Lacazette was a complete **** ... tried to con the ref that he was being impeded when it was him holding the defenders arm ... then pretending to have been head butted in the face when the rightfully angry defender confronted his cheating ... warra priceless ****!
Yeah that was pretty ****ing shameful, falling to the ground like a sack of ****. He should get fined and ban for simulation
Agree ... some hit the ground running in the Prem, like Tielemans for us last year ... in contrast, Pereira was a bit meh in his first dozen games but then went on to be arguably our best player ... probably still is ...
Yeah but where's the fun in that? Nah I do tend to agree of course but a lot of the time you can still see a player has something even when they're struggling and I've not seen anything like that of him in the games i've seen. Mane is a good case in point, was raw as **** when he first game to us and struggled a fair bit early on. But you could see instantly that he had everything it takes to become a top class player. More about the fee really.
Your last point is spot on ... same thing with Naby Savage, if he'd cost £8-£10 million then nobody would be batting an eye ...
