I havd only missed one home match this season and only 3 or 4 last... Rose and Toby have recieved no cat calls or digs yet as soon as Winks puts one foot out of place people are baying for blood. I have sat in both the north and south stands and was all around Wembley. I aint saying winks should start every game but Rose should not be on the pitch ... ever...yet one is fully supported no matter what and thd other is slagged off. Anyhow...we have bored the spurs board ****less with this ... lets not do the ssme here
Davies LB. Great defensive FB just not a typical modern day marauding one. Though once Sessegnon is fully fit and settled, I think the plan is for him to be the long term LWB. Yeah Sanchez is one CB. Foyth needs to bulk up a bit more so right now I'd rather he play RB when he's fit. I want a new CB in Jan/ Summer, ideally Nathan Ake, really rate him plus he's a lefty so makes a decent long term Vertonghen replacement. As for Eriksen, definitely not Winks. It could be Lo Celso although he's barely played so far thanks to injuries and I'm also not sure if he's seen as a CAM or CM to play alongside Ndombele. I think/ hope we'll try for Fernandes in Jan/ Summer.
Rose got a **** load of abuse on Saturday - even Sonny was pissed off with him . Admittedly not much was said in the stands about Toby but just look on social media and 95% of fans now don't want to see him in the XI whilst Jan and Sanchez are fit. Again, disagree on this whole "Rose is fully supported" notion. He's got more abuse than Winks has this season and by some distance. Even the Rose bumboys on social media are no longer piping up and those mugs were unbearable for ages.
Yeah forgot about Ben Davies, although I don't think Sessegnon is a defensively good enough. Maybe I haven't seen what you lot see in Foyth, but to me he looks like another average player like Winks. You're looking at basically replacing your back line, and is even Lloris going to get back to where he was a couple of years ago ?
That's why I'm glad we have Davies for the time being, there's no rush for Sessegnon to be great defensively. Same with Foyth, the technical ability is there but he still needs to work on his positioning and timing in tackles. I have really hopes for him though. Yeah we are. Rose and Toby should essentially be dropped from now on and only recalled because of injury or fixture congestion. Aurier can either be great or a liability, there's no in-between and that's not reliable enough, hence why I'd like Foyth at RB now he's fit (plays there for Argentina). Lloris' injury has given Gazzaniga a chance to establish himself, many fans, myself included, wanted to see him given a proper run last season as he was smashing out MOTM awards for fun when he played, so this is his chance now to prove if he can do it on a regular basis.
He impressed against Portugal's version of Wigan, but let's see how he copes against sterner opposition, with goalies who won't make him look like Pele.
New Southend United boss Sol Campbell has said his players must "dig deep" to move clear of relegation trouble. The 45-year-old ex-England defender was appointed on Tuesday before watching Southend lose 7-1 to Doncaster Rovers. Former Macclesfield manager Campbell's first game in charge of his 22nd-placed side will be at home to Ipswich Town - second in League One - on Saturday. How did the Spurs legend get another job so fast?
Never rated Rose tbh. Even when you lot were claiming the him and Kyle Walker were the best full backs in Europe.
Wigan are more successful than Spurs in recent history, so that’s not a great comparison to make Kips. If you wanted to compare our oppo last night to an irrelevant English team who have won **** all of any note for 30 years, then you don’t need to look any further than your own club.
