What would you call a fair price for Eriksen ?

 

£30 mil is a good price for a player who wants away.

 

Anything less than 100 mill will unleash wummery upon this site that will border on illegal.

Nope ... you are wrong there ... Eriksen's true market value would be north of £50 million ... Spurs will be lucky to get a tenth of that ... they may actually get nowt ...

We bought Lo Celso instead. I think Eriksen is worth about £35m per season at current transfer rates. So about 20m in January.

 

You bought Lo Celso because ceballos chose to go to Arsenal.

I think £20m is about right for Eriksen in Jan.

 

No...we had a number of options....I think Ceballos was our third choice after Lo Celso and Fernandes.

 

his real worth is what clubs would be willing to pay to get him when on a proper contract .... not some made up fraction attempting to deflects a monumental transfer blunder by Levy

 

It's only a blunder if we could have sold him earlier for a lot more or have failed to offer him a fair deal to sign for longer. Neither of those have happened.

 

OK then ... Eriksen, Rose, Alderweireld and possibly Vertonghen have all been able to run their contracts down to nowt and walk away on a freebie because no other club was interested ... absolutely nowt to do with Levy being a bit of an arrogant, belligerent, twat on such matters ... got it

 

I don't think Rose has. Everyone of the others has been playing for us for two or three years on about half the wages they could have had by extending.
What could Levy have done?

 

Increased wages in return for 12-18 months extensions whilst seeking potential suitors ... plenty of other options ... we did something along those lines with Mahrez ....

 

Get rid of the ****s!

 

Eriksen is the only one with significant resale value and we’ve offered him a huge deal to stay so there isn’t much we can really do if he doesn’t sign. Jan and Toby will be 33 and 31 by the summer so them running contracts down won’t make much of a difference as we wouldn’t get much even if they had long deals.

Rose still has a contract til 2021 though, we just tried selling him in the summer as he’s dog ****. Unfortunately he decided to reject Watford so we’re stuck with him.

 

Don't worry about it, we had similar with Hazard. We had 8 good years, things go on, we have. Something always turns up.
