Bristol City v Charlton please log in to view this image Team news Bristol City boss Lee Johnson could be without Jack Hunt, after the defender sustained a suspected hamstring injury during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Luton and will face a late test. Johnson is still without Adam Nagy who has had an injection to combat an ankle injury he aggravated on international duty. Thomas Kalas (hamstring), Jay Dasilva (ankle), Korey Smith (ligament) and Saikou Janneh (knee) are all still sidelined. Charlton boss Lee Bowyer also has new injury issues in the wake of his side's 3-0 win over Derby. Jonny Williams suffered a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined as the club ascertain the extent of the issue. The Addicks are still without striker Lyle Taylor due to a knee ligament problem while Adam Matthews, Tomed Hemed, Lewis Page and Beram Kayal are all still out. Bowyer will serve the second match of his three-game touchline ban after comments he made to the referee after the loss at Swansea. Recent form Bristol City suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat to Luton at Kenilworth Road on Saturday, which was just the second time they've been on the losing side in the Championship this term. They beat Reading 1-0 before the international break, having recorded three successive draws with Brentford, Preston and Swansea before that. Lee Bowyer's Charlton returned to winning ways for the first time since September 28 at the weekend, comfortably beating Derby 3-0 at The Valley. The Addicks drew 2-2 with Charlton before that, which marked the end of a run where they'd lost three games from four; the sole positive came in a 1-0 win over Leeds. Talking point: Can Charlton rise continue? Every time Charlton suffer a dip and you expect their form to drop, they seem to bounce back with another big win to prove they are not going anywhere this season. Lee Bowyer's side have picked up 21 points already in just 12 games. Their last season at this level, 2015/16, saw them take 28 games to accrue that many. Every player who arrives at the club seems to improve and help galvanise the place, and another win at Bristol City on Tuesday night could cement their spot as genuine play-off contenders. Opta stats Bristol City and Charlton haven't met in a league game since February 2016, a 1-0 win in the final game before Lee Johnson took charge of the Robins. The last league meeting between the teams at Ashton Gate was on Boxing Day in 2015, with Charlton equalising in the 90th minute to earn a 1-1 draw. Bristol City are looking to keep a clean sheet in three consecutive home league games for the first time since March 2015 when they were in League One. Charlton have lost just one of their last six away league outings (W3 D2), scoring exactly two goals in five of those six matches (the other a 0-2 loss at Wigan). In all competitions, Bristol City have lost just one of their last 13 matches played on Wednesday (W7 D5 L1), a 2-0 home defeat to Fulham in February 2017. The unpredictability of this division was there for all to see with the results last night. Leeds, Preston and WBA only getting draws and Swansea being stuffed at home by Brentford. So I would happily settle for a scrappy 1-0 home win tonight which would put us right back in the mix with some games coming up where we should also get some more points on the board. But as I said, this is an unpredictable league.
It's Wigan H next Sunday at 13.30, followed by Barnsley A on Friday week according to the BBC and BCFC website. Then it's Cardiff A on Sunday November 10th, Forest H on Saturday November 23rd, and then WBA A on Wednesday 27th November. We have just one Saturday fixture in the next 3 weeks !
Couldn’t make it tonight , work night an all , good win in the end, Fam being sent off could leave us screwed though, Semenyo not ready at present , Rhodri unlikely to be up to a full 90 minutes. We really are going to struggle for strikers over the next few games. Maybe LJ can persuade Wrighty to sign up for a few games.
I ****ing love football. Get in there. That Rodri is proper decent as well, didn't expect him to be this good!
Great result, shame about the Diédhiou sending off especially with regard to our striker situation, never mind 3 great points.
Well, at least he didn't spit on the opposition this time.....only a 3 game ban for kicking. Much better value for money!
Hate to say it but there are some comments on OTIB he did, also he may have kicked a player on the floor, we wil have to wait and see the official summary.
Neil aka RR said on Facebook he was powder puff up front I thought he looked good, but he took a kicking when he was on the ball. Love it when after all their time wasting taking ages walking back from their goal that we scored so deep into injury time that they caused
Anyone else notice our back 4 Tonight, none of them were here last season . All new this , actually make that 5 , goalie too. Apart from Williams who was bought in as cover I would guess none of the other 3 would be in the team but for injuries to other players , same could be said for midfield also, amazing how well we have done really all things considered. COYR
Thought our defending at times was dreadful and so most of our passing around midfield, but we are able to create chances which gave us the 3 points... Phew that was a touch and go....wins a win though.....well done LJ and the boys..
Great win - especially down to 10 men against the league’s surprise package. Just a thought; how about playing Brownhill up front? He knows where the goal is - and we need someone to step up now Fammy will be banned for a couple of games and we already had a striker crisis......
Great result lads !! On the downside Fammy certainly deserved his red card. Just plain stupid to kick out 3 times and it was never going to end well. And I have to question Bentleys positioning and decision making again for their goal. He had no need to come so far out for that through ball.
Get your facts right Rod you naughty little boy Rodri second half Mr Johnson Powder puff up front Palmer needs to come on as well please
