Thirty-nine people, including a teenager, have been found dead inside a lorry container at an industrial park in Essex.
Police were called by the ambulance service after the discovery at Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays at 1.40am.
All 39 people were pronounced dead at the scene and the lorry driver, a 25-year-old man from Northern Ireland, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The journey from Bulgaria to the UK via Holyhead has been described as an "unorthodox route" and it is thought the lorry would have come in from Dublin.

This is exactly why we should review our immigration policy and allow free movement for all regardless of nationality. If is wasn't for the illegal trade in smuggling human beings these 39 poor souls would be safely accommodated in a nice council house with a pocket full of cash thanks to our benefits system and free health care and education.

Your geography is not great,Rosslare is in the south so truck may not have entered NI so hard border would be irrelevant.

But anyway cops believe it went from Dublin to Holyhead on Saturday and are trying to find out where it came from before that.
