still better than anyone else in the league though isnt it!!,

This is a valid point if we gain promotion. I have no doubt that Struijk could replace White or Cooper next season in this league but Struijk would need to be fully blooded this season and be as good as White if he stands any chance of been good enough in the Prem.

i can only assume that Bielsa and Orta have a shopping list of key players for Prem footy and guess we are looking at a striker, a schemer, a DM a CB or two. Meslier fits the bill for Kiko cover but I think a good half dozen player improvements required if we go up

Not so sure about that Doc, for me a player should be putting in more than the stats say over 4 games at 90+ minutes a game.........Stats don't show the failures or crosses / passes that didn't come off.

Three times as much? He is top of the chart over the last 4 games, no other player comes near him.

2 assists in 4 matches and 11 Key passes are passes where if we’d finished better they’d have been assists instead. You haven’t mistaken it for total passes have you?

When a player pulls on a Leeds shirt and they do their best I cheer them on, I’ll look at the positives of how those 11 have taken us to 2nd in the league. I expect all of them to have a stinker of a game from time to time and when they do I’ll moan.

I can’t quite work out what you’re trying to achieve with your unjust and continued bashing of Phillips, Ayling, Harrison and Bamford but I truly think fewer and fewer members are actually listening.

On Saturday Harrison won the ball, he put in a pass that our defensive midfielder put away but you call it luck. We play three midfielders, one being Phillips, part of his job is to cover or slot in to the back four but you gripe on that the midfield is being overrun but according to you it’s Phillips fault not either of the other two.

You quoted me so I replied but your player bashing is really wearing thin

I don't care if it's wearing thin to you or not Ristic, while you continue to air your views and opinions on here, I'll do same.

If you believe those stats are promotion stats then we ain't getting promoted.

While you like the stats, match days also show his many mistakes and failures he makes. There are two sides to coin.

Personally, I'd want my players to do far better than those stats over 4 games.

    Time will tell who's correct.

The only thing correct about LL Harrison bashing is one thing. He hasnt scored the goals that Pablo had in the same dozen games last season. Yes Harrison outshines everyone else in the league and replaces Pablo's contribution except for his goals

The kids could be fantastic but that's a could be fantastic. How many kids have been the next best thing then fell on their face especially at this club. Striujk could be the next VVD but then he could be the next Neil Collins. We need somebody in January who is a class act especially in the CB roles.

If there isn't a shopping list being written up then there will be fans kicking off. Tbh from what I read/hear we're trying to Gibson at Burnley, James and Gilmour from Chelsea

He just doesn't get it, does he? He totally disregards the fact that Harrison's stats are the best in the league & lays into him, expecting much better. But what he's also saying, & doesn't realise it, is that it's ok for our other wingers to do even worse than Harrison! He's the best & is ****, the others far from the best, but that's ok, as they're in his 'gang'! Totally illogical. Or utterances from someone suffering from psychosis. Either way, it's the latest in an unending series of unwarranted, vicious attacks on players on our players that he's targeted for some reason or other. Some supporter, eh?

Btw, why was Clive banned from this site?

It's a pointed question. He was a pain in the arse for holding certain views (some of which I agreed with, I must confess). But he was banned, even though he often provided a reasonably logical argument for his views. Captain Jackboot is worse that Clive ever was, with unabashed Nazi views to boot, yet he seems to be allowed to remain. Surely in the interests of fairness, both should be treated in the same way?
(N.B. I'm not talking about Bluememe here. That was a different story altogether).

Clive kept going on about Grayson didn’t he, I’m trying to remember what his continuous gripe was? I wondered the other day what Clives views would be on Bielsa.

I know some might disagree but I wouldn’t want to see LL banned. In the past I’ve seen quite a bit of ‘debatable’ logic in his views although recently I’ve seen zero in the views or opinions he has on certain players, it borders hatred for them which I’m totally lost as to why.

Even if his views were justified, they’re Leeds players, they do their best, we’re second in the league and this team is about what each persons smaller role is in the big picture

Sorry, wasn't clear in my post. I was more interested in seeing equal treatment for all. In my eyes, Clive was very insistent about Graysin (sic), and annoyed a few because of this. However, he spoke a lot of sense on other subjects. He was never derogatory to fellow posters, yet he got banned. Twice. Pretty sure the last time it was because there was a feeling that he was also Bluememe, so both were banned. Bluemem I could understand, but Clive I couldn't. And yet Captain Jackboot illogically derides some of our best players (á la Clive), but also manages to insult anyone who disagrees with his views, not to mention his far-right-of-Nazi views that he delights in expressing.

So, why did Clive get the chop when Captain Jackboot is a million times worse? What rules were applied? Are there any rules, or just knee-jerk reactions? I'd love Clive back, personally. I agreed with a lot he said. Apart from the Graysin (sic) stuff, he presented some very insightful & salient views. Yet he was banned.

Never had a fall out with Leeds Lover as when he spouts on certain players I just zone out, and to be fair I think there will be some who zone out when I spout my views. LL in reality is also known as "Chunky Monkey", Chippy ... <laugh> but banning someone who winds you up is surely not on. You are not forced to read and its not gospel. Others that have been banned like some mentioned earlier are because they were divisive and only being massive wums. I remember Blue talking bollox years ago but I agreed with him on Grayson and his defence. I remember doing some research and posting the results and guess what, the guy we still refer to today as one of the best managers we've had in the last 15 years was garbage organising defences but we have forgotten that.

Only ever seen LL give back abuse when it's thrown at him, if you don't like it back, don't give it out. ;) and I agree 100% with Doc, if I don't like his view on certain players I take no notice. <whistle> it's not that hard try it.

You're both missing my point, as I clarified for Ristac in my second post.

    Effectively, my questions are:

    1. Why was Clive banned when we have a clown spouting much more poisonous shiite than Clive would ever dream of?
    2. Are there rules for this sort of thing, or is it just knee-jerk reaction?

Pretty sure I know the answer to the second, but clueless re. the first.

    Over to you, mods.

Clive was actually banned twice. He was first banned by Leeds18 for calling Leeds fans scum (although this is taken out of context as I think he was referring to a certain element and not the fan base as a whole)

I didn't agree with this ban.

The second ban was as you allude to in connection with Bluememe and as to whether they were one and the same.

I didn't agree with this second ban either.

At the time Clive was coming out with some great posts re Leeds United footballing issues. He knew what he was talking about. Showed a fair amount of tactical nous and made some sensible observations. I used to enjoy reading what he had to say.

I was actually gutted when he was banned <doh>

Clive IMO wasn't even a Leeds fan, he was a wum.

And if you have a problem put him on ignore it's easy enough to do.
