Good Morning. It's Tuesday 22nd October, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

Sky blue third kit a popular choice (in the blue side of Manchester)

Leeds United have revealed an unusual outfit as their third kit!

The sky blue kit features the traditional blue, yellow and white bar stripe on the waistband and the sock knee trim, which is sure to make this kit a fan’s favourite.

Leeds United 1919-2019’ is embossed on the back of the shirt in recognition of the club’s centenary season

The kit has been especially popular the Blue side of Manchester.

Bielsa compares Bamfords performance with Nketiah's

At the Preston Pre match press conference Bielsa was asked whether he saw a noticeable difference in performance when substituting Bamford for Nketiah for the second half of the Birmingham game.

He replied "The performance of both of them was quite similar. We played better in the first half than in the second one and when the team play better, the centre forward takes advantage of that situation and Nketiah has played in the moment where the team decreased a little bit in performance and playing in those conditions is a little bit more difficult to try to make an impact. For me, the way they played was quite similar, on the same level."

Here is a the pre match in full

Arsenal Manager Unai Emery - Now is not the moment (for Nketiah)

Arsenal Manager Unai Emery was asked the question at the weekend whether he was concerned about the lack of game time Nketiah was getting at Elland Road.

He replied “Now is not the moment, we are in October. He is in Leeds and I respect the coach and his decision.

Firstly I respect his coach and his decision. I think he is going to play more. He is going to deserve it. Each match he plays with Leeds and the national team is important for him and important for Arsenal also because we want him to get confidence and take experience and use it in the future for us.

He is doing it. He is maybe playing less than we want, but I am sure he will play more.”

    Morning all

The Bamford and Nketiah debate will rumble on for the mjority of the season unless he departs in January. I've nothing new to add to that debate but I am pleased Emery chose his words carefully, we don't need any ill feeling or him fuelling the frustration Nketiah must be feeling.

Before we appointed Bielsa I wanted Alex Neil as our manager, I hope he doesn't come up trumps tonight, a very good coach who will set out a good game plan I am sure, I just read we are getting as PL referee for tonights game.

I was just reading some stats on Harrison since our Charlton defeat

Morning ristac, yes Harrison gets the rough end of the stick, but he isn't worth the 20m price tag he has.

Its so much easier for an opposition Manager to prepare, when you know what your opposition are going to do!
Bielsa has to mix it up. We are not the Leeds Utd of the 90's. We are not that good. Individually Bielsa has many of the players playing to capacity, but he need to switch tactics and swap players depending on who we play.
One thing all our opposition do better than Leeds Utd, is to defend in numbers. We need two front men to give our opponents fear.

Good Morning to Matt Doc Rik WJ ETC from a very chilly and overcast Bardsey
We usually do well at Deepdale so I expect us to win tonight
I was very pleased for Wilder last night amazing result and it shows what a very good manager he is He has created the second best defence in the league and spent a pittance compared with Villa I expect the big clubs to look at him but as he has Blades tattooed on his body I think he is there for the long haul
It would appear that Beradi has not been given a new contract and Klitch is still waiting for his
Lets hope Boris gives the country what they want well I do

I think the problem with Eddie and Arsenal is that he won't get in to their starting 11 for a few years to come. When you look at that squad on paper I can't see when he's going to come through in the next 2 years or so. Like I've been saying for weeks if a smaller club like Norwich or Brighton move for him in the summer then I think with a fair crack of the whip (Which I don't think he's getting with us) then he could be in a starting 11.

I think there's a load of coaches out there that can see his talent and know they can mould him in to a half decent international striker.

I think Neil will be fully prepared for tonight and will give us the game of our life. I think we could lose this one. If Bowyer can sus us out then Neil will do it perfectly.

I've got this worry that IF we get promoted and when we take on the likes of Liverpool or Citeh then we're going to get pissed on royally with Bielsa in charge. He needs to learn to change things up.

It certainly is Elland, that jockroach who’s on Sky and Talksport is a fkg hypercritical twat, he was ridiculing the racism the other day, bet he won’t say fck all of the spitting cobra Carragher being a racist.
So as a rider to the above the police are arresting racist people, are they going to arrest the likes of Carragher and his team mates for racism!!!! well the law in this country have arrest people for sexual abuse going back many years, so what’s the difference, I’ll tell you the FA are fkg bent bastards.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Harrison is top of the stats for the whole league just like Pablo was last season. Unfortunately he gets stick like Bamford does. Last season Bielsa said Harrison is a class act and will be a huge player, but many fans saw a bad player. Fans kicked off about Pontus and are gobsmacked that White is actually better. Maybe we should all just leave it to Bielsa and moan about a defeat or a draw we should have had. I personally will start complaining after Xmas if promotion vanishes. Yes I may disagree with selection but we all do that.

My big issue at the moment is around Costa. Bielsa wants Costa because of the pedigree and damage he can do, yet knows his tactics will stifle Costa. Now does Bielsa think he can change Costa so that he becomes a more complete player with more threat, or was it a stupid loan where we must pay £15m for him and not see him in his pomp?

We have Pablo out with a hamstring now so yet more games the 34yo will miss and in some respects we're lucky that Harrison has picked up the mantle. Could Costa learn the Pablo right wing role or even No10

The Klich new contract is almost done but Berardi may only get an extra year but is Berardi good enough really. He can be a liability and yes he is Leeds through and through but do we need better.

This time last season our star performers were Pontus, Cooper, Pablo and Roofe. This season we have White, Kiko, Harrison, Bamford, Dallas, Alioski. With Shacks and Eddie impressing from the bench, so we look better but really miss last seasons early Pablo

To be honest with the string of injuries he's had over the last few years I'm suprised we haven't let him go and found a replacement for him.

The thing is you could find a decent back up to Ayling in the lower divisions. If you look a Spurs they've managed to get the likes of Ali from MK Dons. There is talent down there you just need to look for them

I also think the club are looking at promoting from within the U23s and by next season we should see the likes of Pascal Struijk be the new White. He's a ball playing CB, DM, LB. also got young Cresswell promoted from the U18s and doing well in the 23s. There is some serious talent being coached at the club and we even allowed 3 CBs to leave in the Summer on top of Pontus. hugo Diaz was last seasons all conquering 23s captain, young Liam Kitching to Forest Green Rovers and Aapo Halme who was upset that he wasn't playing first team footy so went Barnsley. Nohan Kennah will be a star of the England team at some stage, Leif Davies, Casey plenty on the conveyor belt :emoticon-0148-yes:

If Leeds don't allow Berardi to finish his playing career at Elland Road, then they show a deep lack of respect for the service Berardi has given the team and club.

Is Berardi a liability.........where? he's no more a liability than any other player in team. He's not a pansy, nor allowed himself to be wrapped in cotton wool, he plays with his heart and guts, and gives 110% every game. Berardi is the most experienced player in the defence right now, and versatile, and it shows.

Berardi knows his top class playing career is slowly coming to an end, and you don't hear him complaining about not being picked regularly, even though he's still better than any in the defensive line up.

If Berardi is sold to another championship team, he'll come back to haunt us big time. To replace Berardi, we are going to need one hell of a defender, and that's going to take some doing, even from prem.

If Berardi finishes his career at Elland Road, he's going to get one hell of a rousing send off from the supporters.

I get that the youth system has some great potential coming through but at the end of the day we need talent to come through in thrnext couple of months. Promotion is the goal for this season not 3 years down the road. This is what winds me up slightly we sign talent that will come good one day or we hope they come good. Come January we need to go out and bring a cb for now not a CB for the future

Those stats for last 4 matches are abysmal, he should be doing 3 times as much, at least.

2 assists in 4 matches, doesn't say a lot about the accuracy of his passing etc.

11 key passes, that's less than 3 passes per game, what's he doing for rest of game, oh yes, dribbling himself or everyone else.

12 successful dribbles, only 12, 3 per game, that's cos all the other dribbles he loses the ball or kicks it over line.

4 accurate crosses, that really tells the whole story doesn't it, 1 accurate cross per game, the rest went nowhere.

9 combined tackles / interceptions, just over 2 per game. Doesn't do too many tackles cos he's too busy trying to dribble himself and everyone else. His key passes must be to himself.

While some may read these stats as good, you also have to take into account those stats that didn't come off, that's the problem with stats.
