Second half we were dogshit but took 3 points. Complete opposite of our usual game. On reflection I'd take that for the rest of the season as opposed to dominating and coming away with f all. Although thinking about It i do like attractive footbal, a conundrum
Think the big difference with Eddie being on the pitch rather than Bamford is pace. When Eddie came on and then roberts they pulled Birmingham all over the place allowing space for midfield players to get in the box ala Phillips. Bamford always looks like he's running in treacle. Anyway I was wrong we won but **** me it was dire. This league is wide open this season and probably as poor as its been in the last few years. If we can't get Promotion this year we don't deserve to get promoted.
Well we looked more dangerous when Eddie and Roberts came on also for a spell we went 3 at the back and Alioskl moved forward, and he had our best chances, after the goal, he went back into a back four and nerves took over letting Birmingham cause us problems.
Plus eddy seemed to win a free nearly every time he got the ball. Overall a horrible performance but three points. Hope we get a good Pablo back soon as if we keep playing like that we’ll lose lots of games
I was going along with the Bamford does more for the team and Eddie is a goalscorer and doesn't contribute as much overall, type of argument. When you compare their stats for the two 45minutes they each played a slightly different story emerges. Maybe, it's time to give Eddie the first 45 minutes and see if he can replicate that overalll contribution to the team effort.
Ristac, respects old bean, but sometimes I wonder if you've been nicking Shaks booze. A striker is there to score goals, which he isn't doing. To say his work rate and rest of his play is exceptional is a bit undercooked, unless you mean the number of times he runs after ball and doesn't get it. We ain't getting promoted if Bamford and Harrison keep playing. If Harrison hadn't made a mistake and passed the ball we'd have had a draw. Shouldn't you be giving Alioski plaudits for getting back and covering for Phillips, cos he couldn't.
130 million pennies more like, we should give some to Alioski for covering for Phillips cos he couldn't get back.
Heat Map from yesterdays game, quite a blank gap down the middle Heat map when Cooper, Hernandez and Shackleton play, quite a lot more happening in-front of goal and less of a void for the opposition to control.
So why aren’t you giving credit to Philips for getting on the end of Harrison’s mistake and scoring the winner (whilst ignoring alioski’s ‘three yard’ miss)
im not going away until march now.well so far that is mate with me you never know.im starting work this coming week ,only had five weeks off.
