I'd be quite happy to wager money that it will be sooner than that. LOL

From Sheikh Al Shearer to watching your fiercest rivals get taken over by a trillionaire consortium and you end up with Steve Bruce and a new tinned ham sponsorship.

Almiron and Joelinton cost 20 million quid more than our football club sold for. Nobody wants them, they don't even own their stadium or the land that it's on. Zero assets and a deluded fan base that think they're one of the biggest clubs in the country <laugh>

Who would want to own them weirdos.

Look at the positives Saffy, at least you didn't spend a billion pound on a stadium, and still not win a trophy for the glory hunters they filled it with.

This is true. I'm glad everything is in place for us to go for success so we can concentrate on spending the coin on players. The stadium is already in place, a quick extension to 63k is possible if required. We've got top level training and academy facilities. We should be able to go forward now on the pitch and not backwards because somebody forgot about investing in the actual football team.

You'll do it eventually, I don't doubt it, maybe via the play-offs this season. I still can't see Wycombe getting autos.

I fancied Wycombe to do well this season. They're a strong side and brought in a few decent players. Ainsworth been there 7 years now so everything is settled and growing all the time. Ipswich will probably end up running away with it. Any one of about 6 or 7 teams could join them. We won't be one of them, I'd be so grateful for a play-off place, at the moment. We are planning to start spending in January but on current form we'll be bottom half by then, we really are a poor side. In fact, this is the worst side and period in our entire 140 year history as a club. It's a great character building exercise, though. We've always been a working class 'grafting' club and a lot of our fans have forgotten that, I was brought up on the freezing terraces of Roker Park as a mid-table championship club and it was always tough but we never complained then, it was always encouragement. This current generation have been spoiled watching the Peter Reid years followed with a decade as a premiership club. It's good to see them get a dose of reality and discover who we really are.
