A wins a win but **** me we make hard work of it. Obviously disappointed that Eddie didn't score but at least he got a half. Give him 7 full games then compare him to Bamford I say.
'kin'ell. she goes away more times than Wakey hang on a mo, is Wakey away again, has he ever met your lass?
Nikita wasn't getting the service which allows him to run onto the ball. We're definitely missing Pablo and Forshaw. Seeing as we won, Bielsa won't change the team, so it's Bamford and Harrison again, same old same old.
Missed the game, what’s the verdict? I see Phillips scored the winner, that lad must be worth £30m does everyone agree ?
I've been thinking (I know, just humour me!) With Nketiah up front, we did see less of the ball as a team. Is that down to having that type of forward on the pitch? Or is it just that we were fooked? So with Bamford on, we get more possession? Would you say that Bamfords workrate has anything to do with it? Also, does Bamfords workrate negate his goal conversion? Or is he just ****e? Now, when we have less possession, we can break with pace with Costa, Nketiah, Dallas and co. Does that give us clearer opportunities to score? Or would we rather have 75% posession? I feel that Nketiah will outscore Bamford if they both played a full season but we would have more posession with Bamford on the team. The problem could be that we don't have the goals coming from elsewhere in the team. We don't have a 10-15 goal a season winger or a no.10 who can chip in and make up the shortcomings of Bamford. Therefore, do we HAVE to play Nketiah because he is the only "goalscorer" we have at the club? Thoughts?
I haven't seen the game but... Bielsa has been quoted as saying he was unhappy with how we looked second half and we gave them too much good possession. If Bielsa analyses it and puts it down to what Eddie "doesn't" do up front his days could be near numbered. Not saying Eddie should or shoudln't start and not agreeing or disagreeing that a striker should score goals but if Bielsa likes the other stuff Bamford brings to the table and he feels Eddie doesn't I can see it coming to a sad end in Jan
Totally agree, I am as frustrated as hell that Bamford doesn't score but his work rate and the rest of his play is exceptional. Roofe used to press from the front and it is the way Bielsa sets his teams up all the small cogs working.
