ITV news website says organisers expect ‘hundreds of thousands’ to turnout. Let’s call that 900,000 at the top end, then... barely 6% of those that voted Remain in 2016. They then suggest more than the million that turned out to wet their knickers in the Spring. Let’s be generous and call that 1.5 million then... fewer than 10% of them wot voted Remain in 2016. More’s the point, not even 4.5% of those sufficiently animated to vote in the referendum, or 3.2% of those eligible to have done so. Shall we overturn our sacrosanct parliamentary democracy for fewer than 1 in 30 of the electorate? Presumably, our sweet smelling friends over at Ex-stink-shun Re-bell-end-ion will do their damndest to stop these people travelling into The Smoke today?
