I've said before that the focus on football now is always on getting penalties and I find it boring. But I'm probably not allowed to say that here so whatever.
re penalty shouts , you fail to take into account that Warnock is a total cunt...who cares what he says .
Well done to everyone connected with Hull City, you did us proud and a moral victory over those M & M`s, no not M &M`s I meant Skittles because they were going down like them in every tackle. UTT
For me, McG saved us more than he cost us. The only dubious point that cost us was for the 2nd goal. I didn't think it was a corner. I'm not going to rant about it though!
You never know. You could be like Boro who in '97 who had never been to a cup final then made three in two years. But even so, you never forget the ones that get away. We won the league cup in '97 and '00, but that last minute final defeat in '99 still stings.
I don't need Warnock to tell me that Giroud is a diving ****, I was at the game and could see it very clearly myself
You clearly haven't seen Rotherham United manager Steve Evans, nobody is fatter than that fat ****er.
Actually just watched the match back on TV. Most of the fouls that I'd assumed were them diving actually the ref made the right decision. Funny how reputations have an influence over your perception. Even in this knowledge, still would have sung "Same old Arsenal..." chant.
Yes Arsenal 'could' have had a couple of penalties ... but their equaliser came from a corner that was not a corner. That's football. For me there is no point Arsene (or any other manager, player or pundit) getting overly precious about incidents like the Giroud one yesterday at this point in footballing history... there is far more 'foul' contact from defenders 'holding' (often wrestling) the opposition at set-pieces ... the FA/UEFA/FIFA need to get their act together on that otherwise complaints like Arsene had yesterday just stink of hypocrisy (because he is obviously NOT addressing this type of foul play with his own players) ... just needs a couple of brave refs to give a penalty as soon as they see it and it would soon stop ... Giroud disappoints me - as a player I think he is one of the most technically gifted centre-forwards I've seen in many years ... but the way he goes over at the merest contact is as prissy as his bloody hairstyle ... grow a pair son, and you could be spectacularly good.
Not seen the game back yet but when Aluko rounded the keeper seemed he had to put that away. Acute angle an all that but.......
Thought Wenger got his substitutions spot on yesterday. Senogo (sp) did more in the short time he was on than Giroud did in the rest of the match. He bullied our tiring defence. Back to City- Quinny had a good game. Can't fault the defence for the goals. Greegsy might've made a mistake for Cazorla's freekick, but he made some top saves in the second half to keep it at 2-2.
I said at the time that he had time to cut back inside, the keeper probably wasn't going to catch him and it could have opening up more possiblities. The key moment though was their first goal and however it happened.
