After sunning my hide for 2 weeks in Florida I've learnt 2 things, 1 : don't eat Italian food in the USA 2 : Dont watch Spurs in a sports bar full of Germans we tried 2 restaurants with glowing local recommendations both served overpriced and over sweetened stodge Don't shout " YES GET IN and COME ON YOU SPURS " when we go 1 up after a few mins
It was in the 90's for weeks in Kentucky! You can even find one or two beaches there!!!! My wife loves the Italian food. I do not.Never got use to the saucies and I can't stand spaghetti!!! We have a bar called The Shamrock Pub in Lexington hosting Spurs fans on match days......and they suffer just like us!!!! Most restaurants are ok,a few not.Some expensive,some not. But as they say "you pay for what you get!" We went to the Cracker Barrel today,"country food!" Mine was awful,Paula enjoyed hers.....!
To my taste the best food was Mexican and we found some good fish restaurants in Key west but in the bars in town most beer was 7 to 9 dollars unless you wanted to drink Bud
Oh I love Mexican! ….and your right about the beer. My Guiness costs about $6 a pint. My favourite place for fish and chips is called Culver's.....real cod,but more expensive than Long John Silvers and Captain D's. They serve Whitefish.Not asgood as cod but passable I suppose! Don't like the strips! My favourite beer is Bass on Draught.They don't sell it now....so I prefer Mexican Light beer.(or Guiness!)
I often work near Burton on Trent and there is a pub near to the brewery that sells the Bass draught by the jug , nice drop of beer
