He doesn't get to choose if he is forced to seek an extension from the surrender bill. The EU decides the length. But what im saying is he could seek an extension away from the surrender bill. His own request for a short period to get this deal over the line. Not using the surrender bill. Maybe a 2 - 4 week extension. He can ask the EU for this and the EU may accept this. I don't think anyone would be upset with Boris for breaking his promise of leaving 31st Oct as we can all see that the parliament has done everything possible to delay delay delay. The EU hasn't helped either. But now the EU seem to realise Boris means business, they are now beginning to get their act together and speed things up. Just left things a little too late. A few more weeks needed. Would be a shame if we are so close to a deal to then drop negotiations on 31st Oct and go out on no deal. A couple more weeks would be acceptable for Brexiteers if it means getting a deal done. The EU will want this too instead of a no deal. Those remainers in parliament will be happy too as they want an extension over no deal. Its a win win for all and Boris, although goes against his deadline, people will understand he has been held back by parliament aiming to frustrate him and the referendum result.
So if Boris brings back a deal, if parliament rejects it, he has to do the surrender bill. But, if he seeks his own extension before any deal goes back to parliament, will that make the surrender bill void? Only saying this because if we are very close to a deal but looks like we will run out of time, seeking a further 2-4 weeks means to me, if the EU accept that extension, means the surrender bill will be outdated and irrelevant. Im no expert obviously so this is just my opinion but I think this could be an option.

Boris needs DUP agreement , which they say he doesn’t have, many of his own MPs will be driven by their decision too, without it I feel it won’t get through Parliament.
So if parliament rejects this deal (as expected) and Junker has stated there will be no further extension, then what? A No-deal Brexit on 31st by default?
Im not too sure of that. There are a few Labour MP's willing to vote for this deal which will more than make up for the loss of DUP votes Also pressure may fall on the DUP as Northern Ireland as a whole voted to remain in the EU. So the people will be happy of getting the best of both. They get everything that the UK get and keep certain EU rights too. That will please those remainers. I guess its just a wait and see moment! I like how he calls this deal a "sell-out deal". Yet he cries like a bitch claiming the term "surrender bill" is bad language. What a <unt he is! Corbyn said Boris doesn't want a deal. Boris wants no deal. Boris proved Corbyn wrong. Corbyn said Boris wouldn't be able to get a deal. Boris proved Corbyn wrong. Corbyn said Boris wouldn't be able to get the backstop removed. Boris proved Corbyn wrong. Boris is the man that proves Corbyn wrong!
If parliament rejects it then Boris by law has to seek an extension. The EU said no more extensions as a deal is done. So Boris said no point wasting that time. So its either this deal or no deal. I am sure though that parliament will reject it, take Boris to court to force him to seek an extension - just to waste time to stop a no deal. And then parliament will create a new bill to force a referendum to let the people decide. They will force no deal NOT to be on the referendum option. It will be remain or the Boris deal. And this will frustrate the hell out of our nation.
But if the EU say no extension then we are effectively ejected from the EU. A second referendum or even any further debate on the subject would be utterly pointless - surely??
We have to ask for an extension, if EU say no then Boris has complied with the Benn bill, it’s then a fight in Parliament for either leave without a deal , revoke article 50 and remain , a further referendum or election . Feels like Groundhog Day doesn’t it !
