I concur - but is this bidder really any better? So far, to me, it seems that they can't meet the asking price in one lump sum so what happens if there is a problem down the line? A bit like being a homeowner, if my boiler goes I have to find the money for a replacement - under MA we would get that replacement but would we under these people or will they wait for a youth product to pass their plumbing course?
Problem is, is that we wouldn’t. He’d get someone from down the street who works for somebody who does back hander jobs putting boilers in and is famous for having been on Watchdog.

Christ weve spend about 50 million in 13 years under Ashley and these guys are offering that every season, so while I know you all want an oil rich arab I think maybe you need to just see this as a step in the right direction if it happens … negative bastards
Just for a little balance, Rafa spent about 180 million in his time here. As I understand it, the bid is offering (blithely) much the same sort of amount. The net spend thing is an entirely different matter.
However, the pay by installments thing is the most damming. This bid will come to nothing I expect. The Manchester United debacle will act as a massive warning to selling a football club to 'investment companies' who don't put the cash up front.

Anyone who thinks it would be worse than MA must be suffering from some kind of Stockholm syndrome.

They would maximise the revenue we can receive and wouldn't plaster a load of tatty signs all over the place. Kenyon has history with this kind of thing and, in the absence of an Arab investor, its the best we can hope for.

The reality is we don't need someone to stick a load of money in to this club, it should largely run itself If you're taking advantage of advertising deals, etc. and not making sure net profit on transfers pays you money back. All I know is I'd rather take my chances on these guys than stick with the purgatory of Mike Ashley.

The irony is if Mike ran a prosperous business AND still took money out, people would barely notice.

49% come on that's a bit low …
52% of the time, I used to like playing the 'which personality is Chaos today' game. Now that I have seen more of Him(s?), I have become a 40/60 man, but realising his mastery of the rules, I can't even keep hims on banned.
There's a lot about the 40 I like, but on balance, I'm now of the view, just be done with him. :)

According to the PM I got from Pouchy he prefers Southerner's views to yours. Of course I didn't respond.
