I wouldn't rule Stoke out yet like. They just need one goal to stunt Sunderland's confidence a bit and then they'll get that 'underdog' confidence and start pushing. Sunderland need to keep on top of it and keep their foot on the pedal.

Still would have taken that result before the game kicked off yesterday.

how long before the pundits start talking about Blackpool and Burnley's high early league positions when talking about us?

Nah, they've got QPR for that - if we're really unlucky the BBC'll do an article on how Pardew has "revived" the club, how the new French signings have "fitted in quickly and improved on departures like Joey Barton" and how we "look to be pressing on for a solid top 10 finish and maybe even Europe".

Sure-fire way to lose three on the bounce, that is.

Imo we're different in that we've had quality performances throughout the entire squad. The goalie, defensive unit, midfield unit and strikeforce have all played an even effort in us playing well. We've stopped goals getting in, scored goals and controlled games.

Blackpool, on the other hand, just threw everything they could at teams offensively. Unless they could keep up high levels of scoring in every single game, the plan was always destined to fail.

Not often any of us want Sunderland to win, but when we do it seems to work well for them.

I sure as hell don't, we'd have probably been back in the top 4 next week, and if we weren't we wouldn't have deserved to be for not beating Blackburn.

I'd really not heard anybody claim Stoke had good support until the last year or so. Where did that come from?

3-1 to Citeh with Kompany scoring would have helped my Fantasy Football out a bit.
