The private message thing is a bit strange mind. Not saying he's making it up, I wouldn't know, but it is true that he needs to be following you before you can send him a DM. There's plenty ways that could happen like, but it's strange that all the really bad abuse is from people who have managed to get him to follow them and there's next to nothing on the open forum of Twitter. Like I say though, not saying it hasn't happened, but I can see why some would be sceptical, I'd have thought he'd be more likely to get abuse from someone who has had too much to drink and overreacts, as opposed to someone going to the extreme of trying to get him to follow them first. If people are doing that they're creepy as **** like

The whole thing is creepy mate.

I've had threats of legal action, pm's with inside info corroborated by a pm from another poster, a series of weird texts to my mobile number and a sad RTG Mod coming on here, incognito, giving me 'warnings' from the owners.

It's too much for a simple bloke like me.

Once this takeover affair is finished, one way or another, I'll never post anything like this ever again.

Everything the Americans have done has been positive.

Neither I, nor anyone else, has had any word they've pulled out.

On top of that someone told the BBC it would be completed in 4 days.

They either just made that up or someone leaked it for a reason.

I saw proof it was on, I'll need proof it's off ...

... which I'd say was quite reasonable.

I spent much of the last 35 years of my working life dealing with evidence and making sure that the appropriate levels of proof are met, speculation is not really helpful in trying to determine the truth. However difficult it is to believe that someone has gone to those lengths to get close to Stewart Donald for nefarious purposes there is no point in speculation, unless there is already an agenda against him. I suppose I just prefer to read the truth rather than conjecture.

I just think people are frustrated with the takeover and manager silence at the minute. Hence why loads are spouting about Donald on here, and Twitter. He has previously told fans that he can afford us in this league, but would need investment to push on if/when we get promoted. He hasn't ever hid that fact as far as i'm aware.
He has always said that the reason he could be our owner is because they got in at the bottom end price. No one kicked off too much when he stated these things previously. It seemed to turn with him sticking with Ross for quite a few (I always wanted to give Ross a chance of 10 games) He stood with the fans during difficult game at Bolton, heard the abuse, and got rid of him not long after in truth.
He has said judge him on who he hands us over to, and we are all in the dark now regarding the takeover/investment. Throw in the fact we still don't know who our new manager is going to be, and a blackout of leaked news, brings frustration. I',m as frustrated as any. I want the Dell boys to take us over. I will be angry IF Donald blocks this in any way, but i have stopped reading into reports too much, as so far we have had too many different version of events.

Sunderland is the perfect club for a takeover.

If it isn't sold I'd say it's because the current owners want to retain control.

This club, in the Championship, would be worth twice what it is now and Donald knows it.

The failure to go up seems to have totally flustered him.

Can he afford us in this league though? We were short last season, he had enough faith in the manager to keep him, but he hardly backed him in the transfer market and we've ended up weaker than we started (and probably ended) last season. Not quite sure how they ever thought they could even mention a 100 point target!

They'll tell us its because of SCMP, that despite getting rid of every big earner (apart from McGeady who took a pay cut) we couldn't afford to pay much for anyone wage-wise. That might be true or it might be a convenient excuse not to spend

No it was ages ago, someone from the bbc said it was due to go through in the next 4 days, then obviously it didn't. Someone definitely thought it was though, and someone tipped off Roker Report and ALS, much though some will now try and deny it

Not new. Radio 5 live interviewed Max Power a few weeks back after the game, and the interviewer said to him that the takeover is gonna be completed within the next 4 days, and has it affected the players. Max Power said no but hopefully i will get a new contract after that goal

He said most signings in this league are free transfers. We can pay wages very good for this league. He also shelled out 3 million on Grigg which is a record fee as far as i can remember for this league (I'm guessing that part, but it can't be far wrong)
