Anyone still hoping for a complete surprise on this? Since Donald and co have took over a lot of our business has come from nowhere. Certainly the Ross sacking did but cattermole leaving also and I think a few of our signings were properly kept under wraps until it was pretty much a done deal. Its seemed pretty nailed on for a couple of days that its going to be Parkinson but still nothing. Think I'm properly clutching at straws
I'm getting a bit like this now, surely it has to be announced today to give the new bloke half a chance to prepare the team for the match on Saturday.
I'm starting to think it might be Ainsworth and this weekends game is causing the hold up. I still would prefer Cook or Stendel.
Just supposing it is Ainsworth, I wonder what he would actually do this weekend. Not take charge of the game? Or just spectate? Awkward.
I don't need to know what's currently going on, the fact is we have been without a manager for 8 days and just a few days before a pretty important game against an in form team, we still haven't appointed anyone You may find that acceptable, I don't.
Ainsworth is also down to the last 3 for the Millwall job. That could be another factor in all of this.
Parkinson looks nailed on ,either way we need to get out this league so bitching and squabbling will achieve nowt .Need to give him a chance and see if he can get us out this awful league
This exactly. Regardless of who it is, we need to back them until it becomes obvious that they can't deliver. Those of us who went through the era between Denis Smith and Peter Reid will probably be more accepting of someone who does a good job versus someone who is a big name! Seen it all!
I'm unsure of your background but interviews and negotiations all take time to sort out. I'm not bothered if it takes another week or two if that means SD nails down his top target who he believes is best equipped to get us promoted. I'd rather that than just chucking the first bloke in charge who can get here by the weekend just to keep fans like you happy.
