Last season was last season. That was then, this is now. It was supposed to be different, wasn't it? OK we were never going to win every match but FOUR-NIL defeats weren't supposed to happen under Kenny! From what I gather mistakes were made from the start today. Skrtel was in the wrong position, Carra's too slow anyway, I kind of agree about Adam and just what is the deal with Carroll? Is he worth £35? Is he? Seen no sign of it yet.

Having said all that overall we were shoite and it's no excuse saying oh he was out of position and he hadn't washed behind his ears.

Regarding Kenny, he bought the players, he picks the team. I'll reiterate what I said when Rafa ballsed up, the buck stops with the manager! I'm very sorry, Kenny is a living legend, but he goes to the toilet and makes mistakes like everyone else. He's King Kenny not King bloody Midas!

So he's got to sort out the problems and now!

In fairness I don't think most of us are negative about the future because of two poor results and you're spot on about the fact that we've definately moved forward since this time last year (despite todays debacle). No one really expected us to be world beaters as you say however what we do demand as supporters is 100% commitment every game and today certain players deserve a rocket for not giving us that and Kenny himself must consider where he went wrong tactically today and how to fix that in future games (I have no doubt whatsoever that he will).

I said a while ago that good teams only become good teams once they learn how to deal with adversity...I think the next month will really show how much character this current crop have.

I agree with wishi, the Kenny can do no wrong attitude isnt for me.
I will be honest I wouldnt have bought any of Carroll,Adam,Downing or Hendo.Sayin that I think Downing will be a good signin, and Hendo has time.
I would have gone for Cazorla/Mata,foreigners are cheaper and BETTER

Also I hate the" 60 mins subs thing", if we are losin at half time, we should be makin subs then. Not waitin til its too f$$kin late

I don't get the people having a go at Kenny, we have played well from the start of the season todays result may have been different if we had 11 men and the opportunity to get back into the game.

There is no drama and Kenny has done a good job so far. Mistakes will be made but just back the team and manager.

It WAS a very bad day at the office and no mistake. Kenny did pick the wrong side and formation. What none of us know is why?

I'm desperately seeking some positives from the game. The first one would be the travelling fans - still behind the team when circumstances were against us and we were being comprehensively outplayed. Secondly whilst it was still 11 v 11 we did manage to get the ball in their net (even if it was offside). Thirdly Lucas played a blinder from begining to end.

So we move on. There's a lot of work to be done to restore confidence. The proof will be over the next few games.

Livid with the worse performance i have seen from a liverpool team since Hodgson, possibly even before that. Kenny made some mistakes today, the starting line up was all wrong, we started with suarez on the left leaving us terribly unbalanced. Already frustrated with Downing playing on the right when he cant do so, and Enrique was really shown up today to be not as good as many have said- often the wrong side of the player and going forward too often when already down to 9 men.

Im not best pleased but this was a one off (apart from last week too) and we will return stronger as a consequence. YNWA

I agree. We're a work in progress, and 4-0 flattered Spurs to be honest. They were good, but not 4-0 good. The referee had a role to play in it, as two of the bookings were not warranted. Neither Adam or Skrtel deserved to be sent off.

Just came on here to see the reaction and most seem reasonable, but frankly there are few teams in the prem that you should expect to beat home and away, maybe Norwich but otherwise no prem team should be shown such disrespect, especially after they handed you your arse on a plate...dickhead

Hard luck fellas to the rest of you...good luck for the rest of the season

On the plus side, Chelsea, one of our top4 competitors are losing 3-0 at half time with 11 men :)

Seriously, we've played well up until today, losing to stoke was the pig imo. Today we were dire and deserved everything we got! All it tells us is that getting into the top 4 will be a real battle and top 2 is way beyond us atm....

If there is a lack of respect from Reds fans then it is to Spurs supporters like you. Before you start saying people have been "handed their arse on a plate" you should stop and consider that you were already 1-0 up before we were reduced to 10 men. However, it took your side into the 2nd half to increase that lead - even though we were not playing well. Your side played well today in most respects but is not as good as you are trying to infer. So who is the dickhead?

Good luck for the rest of the season and we'll see you again at Anfield

Yeah, well, all I'm saying is Kenny is human. Just like the rest of us. Backing the team and manager goes without saying, but if criticism is warranted it will be given.

That's something which hasn't been addressed since Rafa's day. If not, why not?

I may be a dickhead but I'm not the one supporting a team who had to wait till their opponents were down to 9 before they put in the goals.

Would've been a different story if the ref hadn't done his job for you.

    Bunch of parasites.

Spurs got beaten 5-1 at home by City the other week. They beat us 4-0 this week. Point is, don't base your predictions for the season on ONE GAME.
We knew we would have a **** game at some point, so at least we've got it out the way now. We won't win every game, but we won't lose like that again.
To say we won't make Europe based on today's game alone is absolute madness.

I won't complain too much about the sendings off, save to say that I can't remember any game where every challenge that is 'worthy' of a yellow card has got one. Rarely do you get booked for both. That happened to us today, and if every game was refereed in that manner, you'd certainly see a red card in each one. Countless times players are let off for the second offence.

I haven't seen our 2 sendings off BUT why wasn't Cashley cole sent off for an awful tackle on Hernandez?? Is it because he doesn't play for Liverpool (paranoid)
