Man City shouldn't have considered finishing above Arsenal last season either, SoS. We shouldn't have considered finishing above Liverpool in the last two seasons and QPR shouldn't have considered getting promoted. Well thought out argument, eh?
Have a look at their board, Lidls. The negativity there is astounding. It's so bad that Piskie even wrote an article about it: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/86428-Fed-up-with-the-negativity
I honestly believe that the Arsenal fans are going to be shocked and devastated by how low they are going to finish in the league this season. 7th for LFC, the season they lost Benitez, wasn't really that bad for them, given the difficulties they were in, and the turmoil in the dressing room. I'm not so sure that Arsenal have anyone at the club to compare with King Kenny, who can keep everything together, as Wenger slowly goes insane.
Friedel > Gomes Adebayor > Crouch Parker > Palacios I don't think it's far to say we haven't improved our squad from last year. We also have Kyle Walker back from loan who has a year of PL experience under his belt.
IMO, We are already at Arsenal's level, at least. You seem to forget we took 4 point from you last season. It was only our lack of striking abilities, and an inability to break down the defences of some of the weaker teams, that prevented us from finishing above you last season. As the previous poster put, your team has been seriously weakened - how your panic last minute buys will fit in, only time will tell.
Here we go. More one-eyed partisan Goonery. No I didn't rate Mertesacker against us, The QE2 has a shorter, quicker turning circle. The rest, you are making wild assumptions about, based on your own slanted views, and desires. Frimpong looks like he could turn into a useful player. However, if he carries on the way he's started this season, he'll spend more time sitting in the stands, suspended, than on the pitch. Arsenal HAVE finished above Spurs. Arsenal HAVE done this - won that, etc. All past tense mate, in case it has escaped your notice, we are talking about NOW - Not the past. I repeat, the current Spurs squad is easily a match for anything you've got.
It's funny that he talks about Spurs fans being deluded by believing that Arsenal are weaker than last season, as it's an opinion shared by many of his fellow Goons. It remains to be seen if it's actually the case or not, but I don't think that most Arsenal fans would've been too happy if the moves had been suggested to them at the end of last season.
It's probably been a while, Ensil. Jenkinson did get a cracker in the pre-season games, though.
Well on the Arsenal performance so far,i think they'll have a hard job finnishing in the top 8.The defence is dire.
There should be a rule that a club should not have a player playing for them that they cannot pay all their wages. Adebayor should not be a Spurs player as they cannot afford to play all his wages, they only pay £60k of the £197k he earns.
Does that rule exist though, KPR? No, it doesn't. You lost. Get over it. A lot of your fellow Liverpool fans have posted very sensibly. Perhaps you could learn from them?
