Yet could have got more money to slum it in Birmingham. He made a wise choice in that respect.

The way I look at it is this..
    1) Aribo is not one of ours... we signed him from Dulwich as a non-league class player with potential, we developed him into a professional footballer while paying him a wage at the same time... that's all.
    2) Aribo helped us gain promotion to the Championship for which I am grateful, no more than that.
    3) Aribo is now a Rangers player so I have zero interest in how he performs at club level!
    4) Aribo now represents Nigeria at International level, I have zero interest in how Nigeria perform or how their players are doing!

All in all... I have zero interest in following Aribo's progress or his demise whichever ... NOT BOTHERED ABOUT HIM IN THE SLIGHTEST!

It could have been Staines, all these non league clubs are the same to me. The point was he didn't come through our Academy and so he is not 'one of our own'

Does Douchatelet realise how much money he's lost by his idiotic treatment of Aribo? Probably not, it's everyone else's fault. £3/4m he could have made. Not the club, Douchatelet himself.

This. It was Staines. Marcus Gayle had a word with Jason Euell and recommended him.

I would say he hasn't been brilliant but has shown some glimpses. You can definitely see he has quality. Unfortunately he was played out of position in the Celtic game so he wasn't great in that game, but neither were any of the team. Not sure what Gerrard was thinking regarding tactics that day actually. Aribo will definitely be a great player for us, but so far, I'd give him a 6.5 or 7 out of 10. Hope this helps, buddy.

How are Rangers doing in their efforts to eradicate sectarianism from Ibrox?

Unfortunately they are doing well. I'm old school and don't mind fenian bastards calling me an orange bastard, but with so many people these days getting offended so easily, Rangers fans can't even shout **** the pope without getting arrested. Sad times. After UEFA closed part of our stadium, we have been angels. Why do you ask?

It's something we don't get in England... I hate Palarse … not because of anything stupid like the religion they follow or because they may have a penchant towards Libraries but just because they are Palace scvm! A proper good old fashioned reason <ok>… so I just wondered what blue noses had against Catholics and whether this would stop in time?

Sectarianism isn't everyone's cup of tea. Certainly not mine, not least because it sucks in fans from all over Scotland who would otherwise be supporting their local team, making Scottish football uncompetitive. Being called an orange bastard depends who is doing it. And how they are doing it. I grew up with the Celtic of Jock Stein, who literally fought sectarianism on the terraces, with temporary success until Sir Bob Kelly died, after which he was treated abominably by Celtic, and the bad old days returned. Last Kilmarnock vs Celtic game I was at was 15 years ago, and there was an IRA banner. How serious the clubs are I don't know, they make money out of sectarianism, so I guess they will do just enough to avoid UEFA sanctions.

We don't really get anti Jewish or anti black stuff in Scotland though, whereas in England you do, so I wouldn't get too high on your morals lads

It wasn't a justification, it was a comparison.

If you go to Man. U vs Liverpool you'll see and hear some horrendous stuff about Munich and Hillsborough, so what? My concern is what sectarianism has done to Scottish football. No problems with Glaswegians supporting Rangers and Celtic, but I do have a problem with fans who travel from all over Scotland, and indeed Ireland, to support them on account of their religion.

One of my favourite people on Talkshite is Ally McCoist a funnier more erudite football person you couldn't imagine. Rangers through and through, yet he and Brazil can discuss an Old Firm match without recourse to vitriol!

Yes, Rangers and Celtic fans do not like each other's clubs but ..IT'S JUST FOOTBALL for god sake! not life or death.

Why do you have a problem with it?
Of course they will discuss it normally, that is their job. My point is, fans are going to fight each other anyway. Do you really think that Rangers and Celtic fans would like each other if they were both of the same religion? Hibs fans hate Celtic and they are both catholic clubs. Scotland has its problems, including the religious divide but let's not put the sole blame of the hate on the doorstep of religion. It would happen anyway. Football fans, rightly or wrongly are tribal, whether it be because of religion, postcode etc
