Extremely dark origin story from the DC world. Phoenix is brilliant. The film itself, not so much.

The best thing to say about it is...The Joker is no longer Ledger.

One of my favourite books of all time and certainly the funniest.

For me, I don’t think the series really did it justice. But then no other attempt to caricature it has either.
 
Anyone watching The Boys on Amazon?

Quite good so far, Keith Urban chucking the C-Bomb around like nobody's business. Even called God a C.unt in front of a vicar.

Plenty of gore and violence, not enough rumpy-pumpy for this citizen though.

Watched it. Very good.

Homelander was Lucas Hood in 'Banshee', which was excellent, and had lots of bums and boobs.
