If you look closely you can even see the plaster on his nipple and a bunch of daffs sticking out of his back pocket.
They won’t want to set a precedent, as there’s plenty of racism at football in Italy and Spain to name but two. They should chuck clubs out of competitions it’s 2019 ffs.
I think one thing that needs to improve is the sale of tickets. It wouldn't take much research to find that the people involved in racism tonight, would have been the member of a group. It's about time, football started to root some of these groups out, throughout Europe. There is enough money in football to have no excuses about running databases and if need be identity checks. Much the same as I have to experience at lower league football. I have had a member number for many years, if that gets taken away from me, it could restrict the sale of tickets to me. The problem some European clubs will have is that Ultras practically run some of the clubs.
The dilemma is that in punishing a club you are also punishing a majority of non racist (or at least verbally non racist) fans for the actions of a minority - it is also not beyond the imagination that in certain countries it could be used by rival fans to both discredit and get your rival club banned - i.e ultras of another club turning up to start a few chants in the hope that the authorities will then punish their rival. I don't have the answer - other than arresting culprits as they are leaving grounds and punishing them as individuals - but I don't see issuing club (or country) bans as a palatable answer ... because the rascists end up winning - they are not proper footie fans after all - the proper fans of the banned clubs don't deserve to have their enjoyment of supporting their club stripped away. Fines are no use either. Pretty ****ty situation whichever way you look at it.
I can see his point tbh, as Piers Morgan is a thundercunt who would likely talk over him and trivialise it. Albeit I think he’s maybe missed a decent opportunity to have his say, as he talks well on that particular subject.
Fair point, but the genuine threat of a ban might make the majority pipe down the minority within the grounds, which is ultimately how it was stamped out here, and made completely socially unacceptable within most grounds.
Wouldn't be tolerated by fans at most of our clubs now for sure ... but in other parts of Europe it would be a big ask for 'normal' fans to stand up to the likes of the black clad neo Nazis pictured in that crowd this evening ...
Sure, the major work needs to be in identifying and then issuing banning orders keeping those kind of ****s away from the game, but once it becomes marginalised then the rest is done from within imo, as you can’t find and ban every ****er who has racist beliefs.
Simple process to stop racism at footbal. 1.you have to be a member to buy tickets 2.you have to show ID along with your membership card to get into the stadium 3. Eject and prosecute the racist fans If you have repeat instances of rasim the club's or national team haven't followed the above steps. So you punish them. All this educating fans stuff is a bunch of rubbish you can't unlearn being racist you just learn how to hide it
And when I say punish I mean severe punishment. But to suit Uefa I would suggest they withhold advertisement money
