The Lpool friendly pundits will just point to the sendings off as the main reasons for this. Fact is 3-0 flatters them.

Outstanding performance and you always felt that we could've gone up through the gears and scored quite a few more.
Very poor all round from Liverpool, barring Enrique, who did pretty well for virtually everything, except Defoe's goal.

Dalglish will blame the officials, but the gulf in class was massive.

I second that, Walker looked extremely impressive as well, everyone was linking up beautifully!

No need for the vitriol. There will be no excuses. The players were terrible and you outplayed us. Having said that after we went down to 9 men and from then on it was always gonna be a rape so 4 nil reflects that.

Well done Spurs, you played outstanding. Had we played the full 90 mins you would have beaten us anyway with that performance. Our poor showing didn't make you look good, because you were fantastic anyway. I really hope we don't start blaming ref decisions etc, I hope Kenny will take responsibility for todays result and go out in defeat graciously.

    Well done. <ok>

    Cheers, LD&C and Red.
I think that Dalglish made a couple of mistakes with his line-up, so you'd hope that he'd learn from that.
Your Carling Cup game should give you a good opportunity for some fringe players to push for a start next weekend.

  12. Thanks for the fair assessment Lucas.
Parker and Adebeyor have made a massive difference already. There wil be harder challenges in weeks to come but the future looks bright. Ledley just instills calmness to those around him, Benny is just about the best LB in the PL and Modders doesn't look like a man who wishes he was elsewhere. Walker is a real bonus and Defoe looks back to his best. By no means a bad game, but do wish that Bale would have a better awareness of his options. At he moment he seems to take the wrong one too often.
Overall a really positive day IMO.

The thing that gets me is Jose Enrique left us in a potential mess to go for European/Champions League football. Ironically it is us in 4th (albeit at an incredibly early stage and we will not stay there or get European football at all) and Liverpool look like a complete mess! You guys destroyed them today even at 11 v 11. 4th spot is yours surely?

I think you were right the first time, I don't recall us ever playing the 90 mins!

I shall be complaining to the FA that the referee only signalled the start of the game 89 minutes in to the game I was watching!

Premier league winners, top 4, top 6 and relegation candidates are all decided within 6 games actually, so don't go counting your chickens yet!

    It's early days, yet.
If we can get some players back from injury soon and the first XI avoid any more injuries, then we should be there or thereabouts.

Meh a lot can change. We flirted with the relegation places for most of the first half of last season and then made a good run after Christmas.

That filthy sack of ****e should have been red-carded and given a 3 match ban for his assault on Bale, last season. Bale was very lucky his leg wasn't broken. Now he's at it again - only in a different colour shirt!

Yeah, Adam's cynical stomp on Bale last season was appalling, NSIS.
    Nasty stuff.
