As much as we suck I think we have it over them in almost every area. They have crap players, a crap team and a crap manager. More of a worry is spuds now (parker and barn door and freidal have improved them ALOT over last year), but surely they will balls it up like always, even if they should destroy us this year. We suck but there are only 3 good sides. Maybe 4th isnt over after all? At least yesterday we attacked well. And actually, ok we suck I know, but we were unlucky yesterday. It was a bizare game.
Our transfer dealings were awful but I am glad we didnt do a liverpool: £35m on carroll (belongs at mid table epl side MAXIMUM) £20m Hendersen (same as caroll) £10m Adam (potentially only a lower level premier league player) £20m Downing (Belong at someone like villa. Upper mid table side)
Parker has added some backbone to that team. And to think, some of us thought he would be rubbish for us. Oh well, another great player we didn't sign.
I admit I was wrong to say dont sign parker. He sits well. And he is also a good footballer too. Him and song in cm would of been decent for us.

Completely agree with this. Honestly can't believe just how much they and the media seem to rate those four. A team like Liverpool going for them? They must be good!
It's because those players are British, thats why the media rate them. As usual, they've been proved to be average at best, except Carroll, who is just bad.
Are you crazy? Samba destroyed us yesterday, and Parker is the sort of player we need, a hard working, no-nonsense leader. Cahill is really really crap though. i'm glad we didn't sign him, and i'll wait a bit longer before i judge Dann.
If we can get our act together, then we can get fourth, but something drastic has to happen for us to get our act together. And who's to say spurs can't go top four? Liverpool were ****e but Adebayor, as we know, can score goals, if he doesn't cry about it.

Yes on paper, with a settled modric and adebayour. Then spurs easily look the 4th best side in the league. BUT, its spurs. I mean, they are the kings at making a bulls up of even the easiest fixtures.
What you've got to understand is that we also have Huddlestone and Sandro in competition for that spot, both exceedingly good players. I've said it before and I will keep saying until someone listens to me, 4th is ours to lose this season.

We've both had bizzare starts to the season, but we have a better overall squad, which tips the balance slightly in our favour. it is a north london battle for 4th though, unless chelsea want to be as bad as they were just now, in which case it's a 3 horse race for 3rd and 4th.
Its amazing they did the deal. I mean, you couldnt find a single football fan who thought caroll was a good buy at £20m, let alone £35m. Except maybe a few delluded loserpool fans, or people who think the sun shines out the butt of all english footballers. It is depressing we got the same for cesc as they paid for that big lump. It is embarrasing. Newcastle got paid 35 million for flogging a donkey, we let one of the best players on the planet go for 35 millon.
Ashley got abused by the toon army for selling caroll. But it turns out ashley was right and the bar codes have been strengthened as a club by getting rid of the el donkey.
