That seems logical especially with the sun claiming those payments, nixon just ommited that the initial payment was small and its a structured longer term takeover

An example really needs to be made of these. Threatening lives and making people uncomfortable about football club ownership???
Its right up there with those who think it acceptable to fly their drones at major airports where large passenger jets take off.
Or my other 'favourite'..drunks who disrupt flights and force the plane to land prior to it's normal destination to get said drunk locked up.
These people need to be massively ( I'm talking hundreds of thousands ) and jailed.

I was told, from the start, that they want a long term 'legacy' project.

I was naturally hoping it would an 'instant success' policy with 10 years of glory ...

... not a 10 year plan to get to the PL!

I suppose somewhere in between is more likely .....

Promotion this year would be nice.

Is that anything more than an Oxford fan giving his opinion on Sunderland by comparing it the last Oxford owner?

    What's the connection to Donald?

Well just about everything on social media is little more than supposition, assumption and hearsay

With the delays experienced, it kind of ties in, a structured takeover, paid in installments, SD to stay in charge till we get to the premiership.

I can't remember who said it, but the MSD lot probably don't have the time or interest in going to Bristol Rovers on a Tuesday night, so leaving SD in charge to do the donkey work kind of makes sense.

    All pure guesswork though.

I think donald has reached his peak in terms of ability to run a business of the size of safc.
His early social media bonding has run its course.
I feel most fans have tired of him over this takeover/investment and the way he allowed ross to exceed his use by date.
The goodwill he accumulated at the beginning is ( imo ) severely depleted.
We need someone to take a hard headed / no nonsense approach to running the club. Someone not prone to frivolous twitter like outbursts and gatherings at obscure supporter outposts.

I said that mate and, once again, based on what I was told.

When the Sun article said the deal was definitely off I was told it was inaccurate and not to panic.

I posted that on here which went completely against what was being said in a national newspaper.

No doubt some people thought I was wrong and posting drivel.

I was right and Donald confirmed that.

Never mind, let the Jardines keep claiming I never got one thing right.

Like ignoring the fact that I was right about Ross being sacked the day before the media claimed his job was safe.

Or the fact I said Folwer had already started planning his departure before Ross was sacked.

Smug..you are banging your head against a brick wall with some on here.
Fair play mind, a backward step appears not to be something you are prone to

I disagree, I think you are basing your assumptions on what you have seen a small section of the support saying about Stewart.
I think the takeover is just an ongoing event to most supporters and if it happens it happens.

I think it is a shame that SD has been run off Twitter as he did use it to help and engage fans.

I also think someone who was hard headed wouldn’t have the best interests of the club in mind like Stewart, who has so far not lost any goodwill from me.

Do a search, on either forum, and you'll struggle to find anyone who posts more apologies.

If I'm proved wrong, or incorrectly abuse someone, I apologise.

So @Flash Gordon maybe has got it right, the sun have ommitted the key information to create a headline and no doubt rtg will be on fire today.

I still think they will have a legacy project, just a bit slower than we all hoped for

I'd say that's a post based on rational thought and a fair appreciation of football and finance ...

... your kind has no place on here!

Sorry to clarify my "all pure guesswork" comment as its not reading how I meant it to.

The guesswork is about the sun article omitting the important details to create a headline.

It was in no way aimed at anyone here.

This is how easy it is for forum posts to be misinterpreted mate.

I know you weren't having a go but my responses sometimes appear aggressive when that's really not the case.

I liked your post and knew exactly what you meant, it was much appreciated.

But you're right, the relentless stalking and abuse from some people, can sometimes make my responses appear a little brusque.

What I can't get my head around is why nixon and the sun seem to have an agenda against SD and the club.

I know he sued them over the false claims made about his private life, but it almost seems like they print the exact opposite of what SD says.

When we announce the new manager I'm expecting them to run a story saying he's only been appointed because no one else wanted it
